Question about Jeep Cherokee
Thanks for using FixYa. It may be due to the week gear or bearing is out, spacer not working right. Also please check your clutch whether it is working properly. If still the problem persists then you need to check the following things---
1) Low oil level in the overdrive which means that the pump sucks air, looses pressure, and over drive jumps out.
2) Another thing is the solenoid. Bad o-rings that seal the solenoid can allow oil to bypass the pressure side of the system where it is really needed. The solenoid could be week due to which Jeep Cherokee is slipping in the overdrive issue.
Please check the above parts and replace wherever required.
