No knock sensors on the early style Dodge Ram engines. If you've got a knock issue, you need to check some other things. Part of your hot weather spark knock is a combination of high intake air temps, low octane fuel, and too much spark advance, or too quick of an advance curve in your PCM. 2 knock sensors are used..small black plastic sensor bolted into engine block below each exhaust manifold..be careful not to over torque bolts upon installation
