SOURCE: Clicking sound from gray box to side of glove box. Check engine light on.

sounds like the dampener gear shaft is trying to either open or close the vent and clicks b/c its stripped... turn the climate contol to the middle and turn it off...see what happens play with the controls back and forth from h ot to cold high to low and see if it gets worse or stopps or makes any diff at all if thats it, you can take out glovebox removes some screws/bolts and remove the gear or pull the lil plastic shaft out , however it will effect the the performace of the heater/cooling system. I would recomend taking it to a dealer/local yokal if you notice a change so that way you can still use it...let me know what you find

SOURCE: What is located in the glovebox of 2003 Kia Sodona that makes a click sound when trying to start?

There are several relays located in that area...it doesn't matter because the relays are probably not the cause of tyour vehicle not starting. If they are clicking, it can only be because they are working - or at least, TRYING to work.
It sounds to me like you need to check the condition of your battery and battery cable connections.

SOURCE: heater temperature slide lever not working

If you aren't huge, you can reach the blend door actuator by pulling the radio and sliding a small ratchet in. 3 5/16" bolts and you're done.

SOURCE: Knocking in the glove box

You most likely have a bad HVAC blend door actuator. When they fail, the gears over run themselves and give you that kind of noise. What you can do is remove the glove box liner and see if you can get your hand onto the actuator, and you should be able to feel the clicking through the body if that is where it's coming from.

-There are couple thing that cause not to start:
*Before check the following, make sure battery is full of charge.
1. No thing at all. Possible Corrosion battery cable or bad connector or starter relay. (Visual Inspect it) Clean it or tight it
2.Click but never turn or start. Starter has dirty contact or worn out. (Replace W/new one)

1998 GMC Jimmy with "turn signal" clicking behind glove box

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy SLT with same exact problem. I just determined exactly what it is today.
Here is what you should do:

1) Open glove box

2) Notice the u-shape mechanism that prevents the glove box from folding all the way down. (located near top left corner of OPEN glove box

3) Empty contents of glove box and then push up on U-shape and open glove box so that it hangs freely

4) Notice the wiring harness with a bolt in middle of it (located behind glove box)

5) To the right of the wiring harness is a small black box with a zip tie over it. This is the source of your problem. Just slide the zip tie to the right so that the box can then be pulled out.

This is your combination flasher for turn and hazard signals. My signals still worked while this annoying little thing kept clicking. The model # is GM11516051. You can find one on e-bay for at least 1/2 the price of the dealer's.

Same 1991 w/starting problem

open the door and listen for a click from under the car (starter solenoid). If you hear that click, along with the one coming from
the glove compsartment(starter relay), it's the wire between the starter solenoid and the relay...If you only hear the one click from the glove compartment( it's actually in the passengers door pillar), it's the starter relay ($15)
