Hey Jon , It depends on the make , model an year vehicle ! All vehicles after 1996 are all electronically controlled , even instrument clusters ! The PCM sends information over the serial data communication network to the cluster for speed , rpm , temp ,oil pressure etc... the instrument cluster has a microprocessor in it. to decipher the information ! What kind of problem are you having ,need to be specific !

Does anyone the radio code for serial number m144224? On a pension and can't afford fords asking price

Cheryl,

Please provide the year make and model of your vehicle (and your radio if you can find it) as the start point. The serial number is really of no use at this time, where the model number of the vehicle radio can be helpful to get you the assistance you require.

Thank you,

The serial # 243366 when was it mfg.

I can not tell you, because you have not listed the year, make and model of your vehicle. That said, if you look on the back of both the driver's door and more likely the driver's door opening, you will find a label. This label contains the VIN [vehicle identification number] AND the year and month that the vehicle was manufactured.

Bacon & Day Banjo Serial #32307 what year was it made

From around 1964/65 to 1972, used a different serial format showing, Month/Year/Production Number (3-4 digits), stamped as follows:
MYNNN or MYNNNN - (Month = 1-9 - with 3 or 4-digit production number)
MMYNNN or MMYNNNN - (Month =10,11,12 - with 3 or 4-digit production number)
(It's unclear whether the 3-4 digit "production number" is the total production for the Month - or for the Year.)
  • # 31197 would have been made: March, 1971 #197
  • BUT... #121197 could be made in either: Dec, 1971 #197 - OR: Jan, 1972 #1197

Hi, I have a 2000 chrysler 300M with overheating problems. Few months ago replace the water pump, radiator and a hose. I just replace the thermostat and temp sensor. A year ago replace fans. But still...

theres a bleeder crew in the front of the motor by the thermose stat the you have to open when the car is running so the cooling system can release the air from the motor. it worked for me. 10mm socket will fit it.

Reading the serial number from the VIN

OK, Ready?,,,, 1S53F100001
The 1 is the year, 71, a more detailed date code is stamped into the door panel, A letter in front of the year is the month, A = jan, etc, if it goes past M, then it is second year.
S,,assembly plant(Deerborn,)etc.
53 is the body style, 2 door, 4 door,etc
F is the engine code, 390, etc
the last six digits indicate the consecutive unit number, all cars made on the same assembly line were in the sequence, don't forget, the next number in the line could have been a maverick.
The rest of the VC label, notes all the other info, color code, trim, axel, and where it was shipped. The starting serial numbers were 100,001, with the T-bird, Mustang, Torino, and Maverick on the same line. I have a 1971 Ford shop manual here, volume 3, electrical, if you are interested, It is for sale. Hope this helps.
