Question about 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

2 Answers

2002 chevy blazer 4.3l 4x4. Just changed out mass airflow sensor 2 weeks ago as the service engine soon light was coming on and had code p0101. Cleared code out, but i am still waiting for the evap sensor to finish its self check as it keeps flashing every time I hook up the code meter. There are not any codes coming up and I have about 480 miles on the vehicle since changing the mass airflow sensor. I need to get the vehicle inspected next week, but I am assuming I need to get the evap sensor to finish its self check so I will get a green light instead of a yellow one. Please help.

You can get faulty mass air flow meters.Make sure you perchaced the original from your dealers. There are a lote of copy types and they are not calabrated to your vehicle. Most copys are not calabrated.

Well the code 101 is for the MAF sensor and code 341 is for the cam sensor if equipped.
I'm showing a distributor for that engine so its possible something is going on inside of it.
My first guess would be something in the engine harness that was jarred loose.
You might have to test the circuits at the ECM to see if anything is not making the circuit back to it.
If the engine won't idle and the MAF code is present, you could have a large vac leak somewhere.

P0328 Is knock sensor code, all Nissan have this code so leave, concentrate on P0101 and P0103 this is MAF(mass airflow),Just make sure the timing belt is in good condition and the marks are correct, your solution is NTB02-003A In other word you need a reprogram on the ECM

These show up on computer p0101 maf sensor p0128 thermostat p0155 02s heater circuit im not getting power i need to now all the problems & solutions i have 85700 miles 2002 chevy blazer is this...

Ok, it's not the transmission.
P0101 maf sensor ( mass air flow) sensor. Change the sensor, it is located in the air intake hose that runs from the air filter housing to the throttle plate/ throttle body. Disconnect the wire from it and loosen clamps ( if equipped) and pull hose from it.
P0128 thermostat is below temperature specs, change to a 190 or 195 degree thermostat. auto parts store should be able to tell you which one you need.
P0155 the heater circuit in the oxygen sensor is bad, need new one. That is on bank 2 sensor #1. If it is a V6, looking at the engine, it would be on passenger side, screwed into the exhaust pipe near the exhaust manfold.

Service vehicle soon light

Do all your exterior lights work. Including the daytime running lights. This is the service vehicle soon light and not the service engine soon light? Does the service engine light come on when you turn the key on? The service vehicle light will also stay on if the service engine light is burnt out.
