It runs on auto on is the switch bad - Cars & Trucks

what transmission, Stick or Auto, (totally diffr)
back up reverse , dead lamps
did you check all fuses first. ?
did you try new lamps
or better use a voltmeter to the reverse pins
and see
0v ( switch bad , PRNDL ( A/T SIDE SWITCH, M/T CLUTCH SW)
6v (or about) circuit shorted.
12v, good lamps bad.

There is no switch. The relay gets a signal from the computer. If there is no signal from the crank position sensor the computer will not close the relay. If it runs with the relay bypassed, chances are good that the relay itself is bad.

The components involved in your headlamp system vary considerably depending on whether your vehicle is equipped with "Auto Lamps", "Daytime Running Lamps" and/or "Fog Lamps". In any of these cases, both the High Beam and the Low Beam elements share the same grounds. Yes, it could be the dimmer switch. It could also be the Daytime running lamp module or the Headlamp Switch or the Auto Lamp Control Unit. It is also possible that you simply have both of your Low Beam Headlamp elements burned out or have bad sockets where they connect to the wiring harness.

if the auto shut down is just buzzing it is the relay engaging and disengaging really fast you have either weak voltage or weak control signal coming from the pcm possibly a bad wire. also try to switch relay out with one that is similar in the fuse box to see if it is a bad relay.

blower relay has gone bad. as a safety pt, when relay goes bad it runs on hi only. The relay is a resistor per say

It is pretty common for this problem to be a bad headlight switch. I would advise testing the switch before replacing it. That being said I would give it a 90% plus chance of being a bad headlight switch. If you want to test it yourself I would recommend getting a good repair manual at a major auto parts store. This will have a wiring diagram in it and will allow you to test the switch ones it is removed.

sounds like your starter or battery is bad. go to an auto shop and have it diagnosed fully,

bad ground on the headlight circuit,bad switch,bad auto sensor,or bad sockets or bulbs,or bad daytime running light module.

Compressor clutches go bad sometimes.. it is an electromagnetic device on front of compressor. You may also need shot of refrigerant. Level may be at point where it is on brink of being low.

you just have a bad connection in there or you got a bad ground have someone check that..
