There is usually a hose barb in the fire wall on the eng, side. slide the hose off and push a paper clip or piece of wire up through the barb to clear it.

Hi Barb, I'm glad to help! Barb you have a RANGE SWITCH which is located on top of the transmission and the shifter cable connects to it. Your other question on how to hit the starter with a hammer. Just so you know its best for someone to hold the key in the start position while you hit the starter. If you can't reach the starter to hit it with a hammer then use a long object to reach the starter and hit that object it will have the same affect. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Barb.

Connect the hoses that go to the firewall-this will bypass the core until you can replace it and can be done with a 5/8" pipe and a couple of clanps.

the vent tube for the ring and pinion housing is the only tubing made of rubber for the axle

Follow the upper radiator hose that comes out of the top side of the radiator and connects to a hose barb that is bolted to the engine block. That hose bard is held on by 2 bolts, take those two bolts out take the hose barb off and that is where the thermostat is.

Find the radiator hose that comes out of the top drivers side of the radiator. Follow it to where it attaches to the engine. The hose barb the hose attaches to should be bolted on the block of the motor with 2 bolts. When you drain the antifreeze enough to take off the hose and get the bolts off, then take that hose barb off and the thermostat will be between the hose barb and the engine block.

Find the radiator hose that comes out of the top corner of the radiator on the drivers side of the car. The hose goes from the radiater to the engine. Where the hose goes on the barb bolted to the engine with two bolts, if you take the hose off and then the two bolts the thermostat will be between that hose barb and the engine block.

You have to squeeze the connector... there is a plastic lever as part of the connector, which has a barb on it. You must squeeze the lever, thereby releasing the barb and allowing you to slide the connector off the bulb prongs.
