What causes overheating on 92 olds ninty eight with supercharger

over heating comes from the following conditions.1 blocked radiator cores (internal and external)-- 2 external fins have fallen off tubes--3 thermostat is inoperative or not there-- 4 insufficient coolant---5 timing is wrong---6 air /fuel mixture too lean--7 fan is not working ( check electronics if electrical or replace viscous fan hub if mechanical)--- 8 blocked exhaust system--9 air blockage in the cooling system ( bleed out the cooling system at the highest point)--10 incorrect tyre pressure --11 not engaging over drive in transmission--12 brakes dragging
With a supercharger fitted the compressed air after the supercharger is hotter than normal and this will alter the air /fuel ratio too lean---13-- check radiator hoses ( bottom is not sucking in at revs )--14 excessive oil in the sump and transmission. (transmission oil is cooled by a radiator in the radiator tank and excessive hot transmission oil uses the engine coolant to cool the box oil.. Just some ideas to check and eliminate on the way to solving the problem.

Can u grease bearings 99 granprix turbo?

Well, lets see....there is no "Grand Prix Turbo" so I am assuming that you mean that your Grand Prix is a 3.8L that is equipped with a supercharger.

The supercharger bearings are lubricated with synthetic oil that is contained in the supercharger gousing. It is self-contained and does not rely on engine oil for lubrication. You can check the oil level in the supercharger by removing the plug in the supercharger housing (see diagram)

How to change oil in supercharger on 94 buick park ave ultra

It is not necessary to change the oil in the supercharger. The only maintenance required is to CHECK the oil level every 30.000 miles. GM says that it is normal for some of the oil to get lost during normal use by seepage therough the front seal area. It requires 5W-30 synthetic oil.

I guess if you really want to CHANGE the oil, it would require removal of the supercharger and remove the oil fill plug and turn the supercharger upside-down to make the oil drain out.

Your supercharger should be feed by the cars oil pump...there should be an oil line that is attached to the supercharger...you shouldn't have to pre- fill the supercharger with oil.good luck

Supercharger leak on 2001 buick regal gs

maybe it has too much supercharger oil in the supercharger , that maybe be true what they say , it can be taken out , it should take two 4oz bottles, check your supercharger oil level, too much of it is not a good thing, overflow? it should take only the amount that is required, so dealership should know that

2005 Monte Carlo Super Charger Oil

On the supercharger snout, located immediately to the right of the coil pack mounted closest to the supercharger, is the supercharger oil plug. It is a hex nut that uses a 3/8" allen wrench.

When the engine is cold, remove the plug. You can use any item of your choice that will create vacuum such as a siphon, a turkey baster or my favorite is a squirt bottle nozzle with about a 12" line on it.
Insert your hose into the reservoir hole and remove as much of the oil as you can. If you use the squirt bottle nozzle then if the hose is long enough then you should be able to "snake" the hose down into the reservoir almost the entire length of it by pushing the end of it toward a "1 o'clock" position if you are standing directly in front of the car.
Squirt the oil into another container. If your oil is the GM supercharger oil, it is animal fat based and biodegradable and can go in your regular trash.
Refill with GM supercharger oil or any other appropriate lightweight oil specified to meet requirement for the Eaton M90 supercharger. An equivalent oil can be purchased from www.zzperformance.com.
Fill the reservoir until the fluid reaches the bottom of the fill hole threads.

As an added note, if you lose the hex nut cap for the reservoir it isn't necessary to order a new one. A 7/8" fine thread bolt will fit perfectly but be careful not to torque more than 8ft/lbs with either the nut or bolt.
