SOURCE: no tail lights or running lights

Next step, replace the Power Distribution Module. It probably has a short in it also. Why in the hell anyone would think it was a good idea to put the fuse box with two circuit boards in it(not properly sealed) is beyond me. I wonder if they would take their lap top into the shower to see if it would still work. Please make a complaint about this poorly designed product at this site. www.nhtsa.gov Chrysler should take responsibility for this problem. I think they keep their company afloat with all the modules they sell.

SOURCE: 1999 toyota corolla Horn doesn't work.

Usually the wire from the steering wheel is Green w/Red and the wire to the horn from the fuse box is White. There is only one fuse, sometimes shared with the emergency lights. Check to see if there is power to the horn itself with a volt meter.

SOURCE: volvo S60 2005 horns not working

Remove the wire connector from each horn and attach a voltmeter or test light. Have a helper push the horn button while you check for voltage. If there's no power getting to the horns you have to work your way back to the relay checking for shorts. If there is power try holding the horns metal mount against a good ground like an engine bolt or the sub frame. And with wire reconnected have your helper try the horn again. If it sounds then clean rust away from mounting bolt and car (rad support or grill bracket), and look for a loose or broken ground strap to the rad support (from either the battery or engine). If both horns still don't work either they're clogged with snow or dirt (bring them inside to defrost or clean out), or they need to be replaced.

How can you use wire going to the horn from the relay and put on a push button switch

Find the wire at the bottom of the steering column that comes down from the horn button, or locate the wire at the horn relay.. Cut this wire and splice it to a wire that goes to one side of a push button switch. Connect the other side of the switch to the metal chassis of the car, which is ground. A metal part of the dashboard frame will usually work. Then when you press the button, it will activate the relay and sound the horn.

2000 VW Jetta TDI my Horn just stopped! I don't know which relay to start by, The fuse is good but no V at horns Is there a wiring diagram to be had?

There is a "clockspring" wiring spiral in the steering wheel to accommodate the rotating steering wheel with controls on it. If this breaks, you may lose some or all functions controlled by stuff on the s-wheel.

I have a 2006 freightliner columbia with mercedes engine blowing the hvac fuse and melted the plug to the pressure switch replaced pressure switch but still blowing fuse

Hi Richard, I'm glad to help!
Richard, you have a direct short on the power side of the system. This short could be anywhere. Unplug the blower motor and see if it goes away, if it does replace the motor, if it doesn't then unplug the next thing that's related to the A/C system. If its still there after trying everything, then you have a short in the wiring somewhere, most likely the power wire has rubbed through and touching the frame somewhere. Wiggle wires around and see if the short goes away. NOTE: Could also be the A/C Clutch, unplug it and see if it goes away. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Richard.

I have a 1995 Chevy S 10 and the horn does not work. I think my problem is under the dash. Are there any switches, relays, or breakers I need to be looking\r\nfor? I have traced from horn to fuse panel and...

The horn relay is in the fuse/relay box under the hood. so the fuse is HOT on both sides? you should hear the horn relay click when pressing on the horn switch. there may be other relays in that fuse box to swap with and see if the horns work, if the relay clicks, its "usually" good, but the contacts may be bad. if the relay clicks, check for power at the horn. DARK GREEN wire, if it has power , then check the black wire, thats the ground. If it has power and ground, but does not work, the horn is bad.

My horn no longer makes sound i checked the fuse it is fine

Your horn is hooked to a relay. The relay is activated by the ground wire that comes from the horn button. If the fuse is ok then you need to check the relay and the horn switch. You may have a dead relay or a bad contact from the switch.
Hope this helps... Dale

Mitsubishi horn doesn't work

first check fuse, should be hot all times (12v) to see if its blown should be, its in the engine compartment relay box, from there check power to the horn relay on both sides should be red and yellow wires going to it. check the wires for power and the relay, from the relay the wiring will split from the there to the horn one way and to the horn switch the other way, check to see if you have power to the horn, it should read .1-.3 volts then when you have someone push in the horn it will close the relay (if horn switch is working that is) and you will have power to the horn on the power side, if you get power to the horn but it does not sound either the horn is bad or the ground from the horn is bad ,horn is located behind bumper if i remember corectly looks like a black seashell, this is every component in the system and if there is not power to the horn switch then that is where your problem is at and why the relay is not closing to power the horn and give sound. any other question about more indepth wire tracing please feel free to let me know.
have a good night and good luck
