Question about Cars & Trucks
I did one thing and now all these things are gone. I cannot seem to find what I blew. I tried the fuses but I was wondering if it was a relay instead. I don't know how to check these or where to find the correct one. Can anyone give me some ideas?

Take some "electoclean" spray and hose down the key slot ( 4 bursts). Then spray the key and insert to work it around. My car did the same thing and it clears the beeping noise and allows the security system to engage.

SOURCE: Trunk latch pull down
You could try setting release to work manually. I have had the same problem. Take tne motor off set the catch clip at the right height. This should work with no cost.

Is the lock grabing the stricker? You may have a stuck actuator holding the lock plate open or closed. Check operation. If it does lock and will not pull down to close compleatly you need to replace the pull down switch.

If the fuse is okay, check to see that the latch is not bound in some way, and that it is properly lubricated. A dry latch sometimes will not release.
