Question about 2004 Mazda 6
Hi there, I have 04 mazda 6 also. this problem happened to me. I have electrical experiance so opened up the remote on the key ring. What I found was the small microswitch had liberated from the circuit board. The microswitch is about 4 by 6mm rectangle. I mounted cuircit board in vice and soldered (carefully) the switch back to the board. This worked perfectly. Any electrcian or appliance repair person could do this. The mazda dealer here wanted $300 to replace remote. I hope this helps.

Take both of your remotes to a parts house and they will check them for free at the battery display. If the remotes are good I would go to Best Buy and see what they suggest, new alarm, ect. I know it will be cheaper than mazda.
