SOURCE: i have an 89 k3500 454 tbi not getting fire to

Pulled this out of a dark spot in my mind... check that the coil mount screws have not pushed through to the inside of the cap causing an internal short, pulling spark to ground. if distributor is new pickup coil should be ok but check for broken wires there just in case. Also if you have a tach, disconnect it from distributor. If internally shorted it won't get spark.

What this sounds like is that you need a new ECU. I would recommend picking one up at a junk yard as that will save you some money.

Check the ECCS relay in the engine compartment. If it sticks it will provide power to the ECM and the coil.

1990 eagle talon wont start no spark coil tested good

Could be numerous things. The parts related to making the ignition coil work correctly is the computer which signals the firing, the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors that tell the computer where the shafts are and that info is used by the computer. If you have either of those sensors fail then the computer will not signal the firing of the coil. These sensors usually work or don't and if you have crankwalk where the shafts are moving out of position (mostly on 2G's) then that would cause the car to stop firing but sounds like one of those are bad.

Alternatively if you can't start the car and it just clicks then could be the neutral safety switch and needs unplugged under dash. Green and black wire from button behind clutch pedal upper arm and trace to a white connector and disconnect. That switch will make the car not start but if it's cranking then probably not. Just disabled mine that was faulty on a 95.

Beyond that possibly a bad computer or a fuse for the ignition and engine. Check those fuses under the hood.

Wont start

check the ignition switch. pull covering off of the column and check switches wires,
reds - should have +12 battery power
white - Ignition output
pink - ignition output
yellow - starter output

these wires are needed to start car.

from the switch the starter wire goes to and neutral position switch. located on transmission. yellow is starter in purple is starter output. if all that is good change the relay moun about the radiator. good luck

Wont strat

Hello thank you for using for your answer my name is David.
You say it wont start in the normal way by just turning it on but if you pour gas in the throttle body
it will start sounds like you have a weak fuel pump most likely but there are a few other things that could cause it also .
