You said you replaced the plugs with the same type.NGK BKR6E-11...
This will not drastically change fuel consumption.The maker of the car puts a lot of time and money into designing the car and even its sparkplugs that are to be used.Look at engine tune,airfilter blockage before you start changing plugs.Wrong plug.Engine blows up.Stick with the basics before you may do engine damage.Hope this helps

first off u should use ac delco platnum! wen u open the hood look for the tag that says catalyst it will say engine size ect it will tell you the proper gap!
