How do you change out od light on dash panel

I would seriously recommend going to the library and finding the manual for your truck, be it Haynes, Chiltons or other, and read the section on it, so that you are sure that you know which OTHER sections you need to reference ( they all are great for "do this" instructions without telling you where to refer to), and then copying those pages, or go to the local auto parts store and purchase the book outright. It is simply a matter of knowing WHICH screws to remove and which panels are just snap in. On a personal note beyond this, grab your owners manual and find out what the bulb is that you need. as well as the other dash bulbs, they tend to go out AFTER you have changed one and put everything back together. Use an electrical connector treatment to ensure the contacts stay clean and don't corrode, as dash bulbs tend to have cheap thin wire contacts, you may even want to check out LED bulb replacements while you are at it, and perhaps even change the das light colors if you wish. After all you will have all the bulbs open and accessible to you at the time. I need to replace the 4wd light on my jeep and will be changing over to all leds, since vibrations don't cause them to burn out, particularly since the bulb went bad while off roading...

If they all stopped working at the same time then it is probably a fuse or possibly 2. Check your fuse panels in the dash and under the hood. The dash lights and gauges should be a fuse labeled instrument cluster or guages, it is probably blown. The other fuse to look for will be the tail light fuse. This is where I would begin.

How to replace dash light bulbs

I've done this before. You have to remove the cover for the gauges and speedometer, which is on a sort of a circuit board. The whole thing comes out in one piece, or did on the car I was working on. Then you just locate the burned out bulb, go buy a replacement, replace it and you're good to go, It's easier than you might think.

Dash lights are going out one by one how do I replace them? How do I get to them?

If the dash bulbs and other lights are suddenly going out one after another, you should check your alternator output. It sounds like your voltage regulator is not doing it's job. The bulbs are probably blowing because of overly high voltage. You can probably get this checked for free at your local parts store.

After you've confirmed that you are not having voltage problems, then change your bulbs. (Don't put yourself through that twice.) Working in the dash is time consuming and uncomfortable, but it's not too difficult. Good luck with that.

I can't say that I know where to get your bulbs, but I'd try Pep Boys myself.

Brake lights won't come on changed switch and checked fuses under dash are there more fuses

Remove the brakelight bulb holder, If you pop out the entire assembly it will save your knucles some skin. Then you want to take some fine sandpaper and clean the contacts "on the housing" well, and coat the with a thin film of dielctric grease or vaseline. I'm sure this will resolve your problem. I've had to do this to numerous Volvo vehicles over the years. Also once you're finished, the dash indicator may "not" go out unless you purchase the bulbs from Hella because of their candlepower exclusivity.

Dash lights

The dash is lit by one or more bulbs located on the edge of that clear plastic. You may be able to get to the lamp holder by reaching up behind the dash. If not there, then the dash will need to come off.
