Need to replace blower fan motor 2006 Chevy Malibu

2004 and up, the old blower motor must be cut out with a utility knife and the new one screws into the opening to the screw holes molded into the plastic housing. It is located under the passenger side dash, you may have a silencer / plastic cover there you have to remove to view it.
  • Remove the passenger's side lower silencer panel.
  • Remove the blower motor wire harness connector.
Two diagrams show how it goes:

Cut along the narrow groove where the arrows indicate. Do not cut too deep, only enough to remove motor, as the cup will be re used.

  • Install new motor assembly with three screws, usually provided with new unit. Tighten securely.
  • Atatch wire harness. Test unit. If functioning properly, replace silencer / cover.

Where is the blower motor located on a 2004 f-150 trcuk.do youhave a diagram?

The bower motor is accessible from the glove box when dropped or from the floor. Push in on the top where the stop pins are at, and the glove box will fall straight down.

if you are having an issue where the blower motor only runs on high, might want to check the blower motor resistor.

This is the New Body style 2004 ( non heritage or Lightning version ). Red arrow points to blower motor resistor.

The heater fan isn't working, on any setting, on my 2004 cavalier

You will need to replace the fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the fuse box cover lid over and you will find a diagram showing where the heater blower motor fan is located. Pull the fuse out and replace it with the same number fuse.

    Blower Motor

It's under the dash of the pass. side. You have to remove the dash in layers to remove the heater box. Not too fun of a job. Definitely time consuming.
