Dear Lillian,
There are locksmiths who make keys from scratch.
I know one in the county in which I live in Florida, so there are many others.
A true locksmith can and will do this.
Some people are just key copiers.
God bless your efforts.

How do I reset the anti theft system in my Blazer after installing a new ignition and key?

You need to have a new key cut using the same blank that fit the truck before. The key blanks have a chip that the computer "reads" to allow the engine to start. There are about 10 different chips.
A locksmith or the dealer should be able to read the old key to find the new blank that matches it.

We lost the key and the only key we have is broken and will not stay on a key ring. How would you go about getting a second key made? Hardware stores told me they can't make the key

You will need to get a new "blank" transponder key from a dealership or a locksmith. Have the key cut to match the original key. Then you will need to have the new key "coded" to the car, also at a dealership. Good luck!

How do you program a 2003 passat volkswagen key

There is no easy way to program these keys without VAG-COM (Volkswagen Audi Group Communication) software. It is possible that a European specialty car parts house or a locksmith may have this software (or a VW enthusiast who uses it to check specialty fault codes and engine diagnostics), but most people are forced to go to a VW or Audi dealer (same technology) to get new keys matched to their VWs.
When adding a new key, all keys must be recoded at the same time--you can't simply add one to an existing group of keys. A new code is generated that will invalidate the previous codes used by existing keys.
I have had good luck purchasing key blanks and remote key fobs on eBay for much less than my local dealer would charge, but I then paid the $80 fee to have the dealership match all my keys to the car. My local locksmiths could could copy the physical key, but they couldn't do this final step.
There are some tricks you can use with older (pre-2000?) VWs to match up keys, but I do not believe that they work with newer VW key technology.

I have lost the keys to my peugeot 206 xtd 1.9 i have a spare but it does not have the chip in it is there any way to bypass this please

Not really. You need to either go to a dealership OR a locksmith that has an "transponder reader" that will match your lock with the correct chip key blank. No big deal. You're lucky you have a blank ! !

Car keys and keyless remote FOB programing/matching.

A Locksmith can cut and program keys. You likely did not save anything buying the blank online, locksmiths already have them on hand, and the key itself is not the major part of the fee.

I can not find a model EL, must be strictly Canadian

If this has been helpful, please post a review for City Lock Boulder Colorado USA listing on Google Maps

You may find a locksmith that has been background checked on a link from our website. I am not putting the link here, as it likely is a TOS thing

I misplaced my Dodge Nitro key. The dealer wants

The Customer Learn programming method procedures are as follows:

1. Obtain the blank Sentry Key(s) that are to be programmed as valid keys for the vehicle. Cut the blank key(s) to match the ignition switch lock cylinder mechanical key codes.

2. Insert one of the two valid Sentry Keys into the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

3. After the ignition switch has been in the ON position for longer than 3 seconds, but no more than 15 seconds, cycle the ignition switch back to the OFF position. Replace the first valid Sentry Key in the ignition switch lock cylinder with the second valid Sentry Key and turn the ignition switch back to the ON position. The second valid Sentry Key must be inserted in the lock cylinder within 15 seconds of removing the first valid key.

4. About 10 seconds after the completion of Step #3 , the security indicator in the instrument cluster will start to flash and a single audible chime will sound to indicate that the system has entered the Customer Learn programming mode.

5. Within 60 seconds of entering the Customer Learn programming mode, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, replace the valid Sentry Key with a blank Sentry Key transponder, and turn the ignition switch back to the ON position.

6. About 10 seconds after the completion of Step #5 , a single audible chime will sound and the security indicator will stop flashing, stay ON solid for 3 seconds, then turn OFF to indicate that the blank Sentry Key has been successfully programmed. The SKIS will immediately exit the Customer Learn programming mode. After the ignition is cycled the vehicle may be started using the newly programmed valid Sentry Key.

Each of these steps must be repeated and completed in their entirety for each additional Sentry Key that is to be programmed. If the above steps are not completed in the given sequence, or within the allotted time, the SKIS will exit the Customer Learn programming mode and the programming will be unsuccessful. The SKREEM will also automatically exit the Customer Learn programming mode if it sees a non-blank Sentry Key transponder when it should see a blank, if it has already programmed 8 valid Sentry Keys, or if the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position for more than about 50
