1990 chevy 1500 4x4 5spd. New plugs,wires, cap, button, tps, coolant sensor. Hesitation under throttle. And also runs bad after warmed up. Im fed up with throwing parts at this problem. Im thinking maybe...


My 97 was doing this, I too put a lot of money before figuring out that it was a bad coil and coil wire. Works great now. Do you have the 4.3L

Engine runs fine when cold, hesitates when warmed


The EGR valve is closed when the engine is cold and should open when warmed up. Have all componets check to see if they are functiong correctly. Auto Zone provides a free computer scan at no charge . They will avise you what is in need or replacing and how much for the part. These parts are easily installed too

My 4runner has a slight hesitation while warming up.


You have several options that could be the problem. Check idle speed sensor, check tps sensor, I would suggest to get a diagnose from the E.C.U to find out that code you get. Good luck

1, worn ,faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs
2, engine management fault
3, vacuum leak at the inlet manifold or associated hoses

99 S-10 Engine hesitates only when warm


If it has miss and hesitation only warm not cold you may have a coolant temp sensor problem . but if the service engine soon light is off i would chek ignition system(plugs, wires ,boots).most likely one of the cylinders missfires when hot.

beginning of transmission problems could be a clogged screen in the transmission filter..making it have to have time to warm the fluid up so it can get through the screen
