Hitting the pothole --need to have the trouble code checked most auto stores offer this service to free --damage can be hub--ans sensor --wiring -etc need wheel area inspected but first get the trouble code

Hello and welcome to FixYa... the Engine light and VSC light will come on together when a fault code is stored in the computer
...the codes will need to be read to determine what caused it, based on that information, repairs needed can be taken to correct it...i hope this helps and good luck with the Lexus

My engine light, VSC and Trac off lights are on. I have almost 100,000 miles on my car and no warranty at this point. The car shakes whenever I hit certain speeds. A friend of mine hooked the computer up...

A coil for most cars are normally not a very expensive part . Take a look on eBay for your type of vehicle for anidea if costings.
A coil is normally positioned in a placedwhichbis usually quite easy for a DIYer to fix themselves.
A Haynes manual or similar vehicle fixing manual may be worth while alternatively YouTube fixing it.

Getting message CHECK VSC with engine warning and traction lights on permanently.

Whenever the check engine light comes on it also turns on the trac and the vsc, if figures the trac and vsc can not operate properly if the engine is not running correctly, when check eng light turns off the rest will also, the first thing to do is have the computer scanned, there will be stored codes, these codes will tell you where the problem is, many auto part stores will scan it and give you the codes, if you get the codes i could help you further good luck.

Often caused by a loose gas cap or fouled or failed air fuel O2 sensor. Check your gas cap is fully ratcheted, Drive a day or two. If lights don't clear you will need a code reader attached to the car to diagnose.
