Sounds like the key you are using is not programmed to the car HAVE YOU GOT THE ORIGINAL KEY?the passive anti theft system pats has found something ie key not compatiable with the car the key may fit and lock/unlock the car but the key transponder in the ignition lock will not regonise it thinks its being stolen the chip in the key is not programmed to that car
