Hi i got a nissan patrol 06 model with the 4.2td intercooled engine have jst replaced new injector pump and injectors have been overhauled also ive done 3000klms and now i have a missfire/spluter!

Assuming the pump and injector overhauls were of good quality, it is possible some dirt has entered the fuel system during fitting though it really could be almost anything and systematic checking is needed to discover the cause of the problem.

186 red motor. Why does it have a missfire under load?

Engine is under max load in the situations you describe, so any weakness in spark or low fuel prssure can cause this, even a weak ignition module.

Truck is backfiring and missfiring.

Have the misfire diagnosed and the backfiring will be fixed also. The backfiring is caused by the "over-rich" fuel mixture in the exhaust stream and is igniting within the exhaust. Fix the misfire (which will cause the rich condition) and the backfire will be gone.

1999 ford tauruscan you tell by looking at spark plugs if you have a head gasket leak? car is missing and sputteringit's not blowing smoke.wondering what the plugs should look like with 35'000 miles on...

mcdevito75 here, Even a tiny crack in a cylinder head gasket would cause 2 spark plugs, one right next to each other to missfire, those plugs would have a whiteish color, (2 plugs next to each other) also, a head gasket would naturally cause a loss of antifreeze as it is leaking and burning in the engine. Normal plugs have a redish brown tint, but may also be a bit dark from carbon deposits.

91 mitsubishi gto has random engine cut out.

Does this car have its original ECU? I ask this because this and a number of early 1990s Mitsubishi cars/truckas had isses with capaciors leaking. In truth I believe it is a matter of when and not if. As the ECU begins to fail the engine can begin to run poorly ( I speak from experience after changing both ECUs in my Montero and my son's Doge Stealth (3000GT) ) I did have an issue too with my son's Stealth running poorly, by good luck I happened to be looking under the hood with poor lighting and noticed a faint blue spark from the wiring leads by the coil after a good look I fould a wire would ground out when the engine was throttled; this caused the engine to torque slightly causing the wire to rub and finally ground out.
I hope this may have helped,

Sounds like the Catalytic converter needs to be looked at or replaced.

First You Need To Make Sure You Don't Have A Cracked Distributor Cap Causing A Missfire Remove Plug Wire One At A Time From Cap Until You Find The One That Doesn't Make A Difference. IF The Plug Is Firing, The Engine Should Drop In RPM. If All Checks Out Ok, Starting Checking Other Abvious. Things...Like Fuel Preasure. Those Style Vortech Motors Have Trouble With Intake Gaskets Blowing Out And Leaking Water, Sometimes Into The Crankcase. Low RPM, high load is when the engine demands the best spark. More than likely you have a bad plug or plug wire causing this issue. You didn't say how many miles are on the car. It could also be due to a broken piston ring, but I wouldn't say that without knowing what kind of mileage was on the car.
