What causes low fuel pressure from high pressure pump on Chevrolet captiva.the electric low pressure pump has got sufficient pressure.

the pressure at that line will build to over 25000 psi in an instant but to get that pressure you have to block off the fuel flow so if you just undid the pipe and expected it to squirt through the front of the car then you will be mistaken( DON'T PUT YOUR FINGER OVER THAT PIPE ON YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR HAND )
To check that pressure there is a special high pressure gauge that specialist diesel shops use and it is not for people with limited experience to mess with
Take it to a diesel shop for a pressure test
Common rail diesel pumps will not tolerate anything in the fuel and are prone to failure so a proper pressure test will show if it is the pump or the injectors

Toyota hilux Diesel 2.41988 LN65

the vacuum pipe to the alternator is connected to the vacuum pump on the alternator to get vacuum for the brake booster
the wires will be to put the low vacuum light on in the dash
as to the vacuum line to the pump , you may have a vacuum operated governor control for the fuel pump
best to ask an accredited diesel shop or check the workshop manual which will explain the operation on the pump

I put diesel in my F-150 unleaded gas tank and now it won't start.what do I do

I hope you've flushed the fuel tank after the mistake. There could still be diesel in the system, and diesel does not evaporate like gasoline. Diesel will, however, burn off if the engine is hot enough, so you need to get your engine started.
1 Fill your tank with the proper grade gasoline.
2 Try to get the gasoline through the system as far as possible - loosen the feed pipe as close to the carburettor or injector system as possible, switch on the ignition to get the fuel pump to displace any diesel in the pipe (remember to place the end of the pipe into a container so you don't spill the stuff on the floor). Otherwise just suck at the end of the pipe (not recommended) until the gas comes through.
3 Reattach the fuel pipe, then prime the engine with ethanol - also called Quick Start or similar.
Spray the Quick Start into the air intake while cranking the engine. It should start, even for just a few seconds. Repeat this a few times until the engine starts then let it run until the smoke from the exhaust stops. It is not the end of the world to have diesel in a gas tank, much, much worse is getting gasoline in a diesel tank!
This is a first aid remedy, hope it helps.

How to bleed injector pump on isuzu nkr pick up

These are self bleeding so if diesel is getting to the pump it won't need bleeding. If you still feel the need to bleed the system then loosen one injector pipe turn the engine until you see diesel coming tighten again it should fire up. If you have a good flow of diesel coming from the filter to the pump and diesel at the injector pipe then your pump pressure may be low. To check remove any injector reconnect the pipe to it with the injector end where you can see it. Turn the engine with the starter a few times the diesel should be making a mist. Wear eye protection for this test

Ive got a major diesel fuel leak, coming from between the fuel pump and the engine.

Remove the pump and replace the worn seal with a new one. Put the pump back and see whether still leakage. If not the seal then check on diesel pipes might be one of them has a leakage

I have a renault kangoo van, an brake pedal is rock solid which effects braking does anyone know the known causes

hi from uk this sounds like you have no servo assistance with brakes? if your engine is diesel? then the vacuum pump is not providing assistance there are different methods of haw vac pump is driven? some are driven off rear of alternator/ off the rear of camshaft ? if petrol engine ? the vac is a pipe from inlet manifold connected to servo unit this pipe has also a none return valve fitted may i suggest whether diesel or petrol engine you check the hoses from pump to the servo ? also if alternator driven pump? check fanbelt? if ok then to check if pump is fault? pull out the hose /pipe from the grommet entry point on servo unit and with engine running ? you should feel vacuum if you put finger over the end ? no vac ?? you will have to check the drive coupling from alternator if diesel engine ? if you come back with more info after tests above ? may be able to advise further?

1999 landrover range rover 2.5 diesel put petrol

I would start by looking for the valve on the fuel rail (or at the filter housing), if you disconnected the fuel pipe from the filter feed you will have a lot of air in the system (and diesels do not like air in the feul system) you will need to have someone crank the motor over while you push in on the schrader valve to release the air out of the system until you get fuel to flow steady out of that port (this may take a short period of time), then you should be able to start the vehicle... would also recommend replacing the fuel filter as well. Hope this helps.
