You may try releasing the bonnet lock with a long rod from the bottom.

How do I fix bonnet release latch on vauxhall vectra 57 plate please

I had this problem vauxhall garage had to drill a hole in the radiator grille and use a special tool to pull the bonnet catch lever.(apparently its a common fault)
only way as there is no way of getting at the cable or the catch from under the car (only way is to remove the radiator and the bolts for that are guess what at the top under the bonnet).

How do you release the bonnet of a vauxhall vectra 04 from the outside ?

As a general rule, you don't.

However, if the inside handle is broken, sometimes you can reach up from under the front end of the vehicle and find the cable that leads to the release. IF you are lucky enough, you can pull on that cable and sometimes the hood (bonnet) will pop open.

Sticking bonnet offside catch. possible cable stretched. How to open the bonnet

if the bonnets cable is not broken wiggle one corner of the bonnet and see if it will release the catch. You may have to push on the corner very hard rapidly even on both sides if one side does nbot work for you. I find that to work on most cars. The problem for most cars that the hood or bonnet adjusters are worn and bind the opening process

Renault clio bonnet wont open

Get a second person to pull bonnet catch and you push up and down on the bonnet whilst catch is being pulled. 1, cable possibly stretched, 2, look at bonnet catch under the coloum to see if wire is attached, 3, try and lie under car and look up the back of the bulkhead to see the catch and release it manually. Hope that helps.

It sound like it i out of adjustment. I had this same thing occur n my car. Ask an assistant to pull the release lever inside the car all the way, then try to open the bonnet while they are pulling on the lever.

Ant open bonnet

Hopefully the cable has not snapped. Have someone else lean on the bonnet a little. (Not too much or you will dent it) Try and operate the catch while they are leaning and releasing. Or sometimes dust can accumulate on the catch. Perhaps you can spray under the bonnet with a can of WD40 and hit the catch. Try the above trick again after you have sprayed it. Once you get it open find the cause before you close it again :)

Can not open the bonnet. The release by the drivers right knee does not seem to work, I can pull it but the latch by the radiator/grill does not seem to function. I have sprayed some WD40 onto the parts...

In order to get the hood/bonnet to open, you will have to grasp the end of the cable with pliers or better yet, vice grips, and pull the cable. But, you still need to figure out what is causing the problem. Check to see if the cable is broken or has simply come undone at the latch. You can try to find the cable where it comes through the firewall and trace it to the hood latch, looking to see if any clamps have loosened up that would allow the cable to move and get too much slack in it. Sure hope this helped you and good luck.
