The fuel pump is in the gas tank but there is also a gas regulator right at the front on the valve cover.

The first things I need to know are which engine do you have, and what have you actually tested so far ?
If it has no power or ground pulse to the injectors and no spark, the problem would be something that controls both such as a crank or cam sensor. Or a relay. Or the ignition module. And so on.

SOURCE: Car starts dies back fires runs fine for a wile then justs dies wait little bit starts up runs fine starts back fires dies someone told me they have a plastic plenum and that crack is this true
It is impossible to propose a diagnosis without knowing the YEAR, MAKE and MODEL of your vehicle.
That being said, if you mean it has a PVC plastic INTAKE MANIFOLD, yes they do crack if the engine is ever allowed to overheat.
