The tank sensor is faulty. If you still know how much is in the tank with the gauge, then it's usually the limit switch which is part of the tank sensor..

2003 Honda Civic Gas Guage says 3/4 full on full tank of gas

The fuel meter inside the tank has malfunctioned. One option is to replace the fuel pump. Second option is to bring down the fuel tank and remove the fuel pump and check see if the metering rod was bent. Now if you are not having problems with the fuel pump. I would deal with the gauge being low and continue running the car until the time comes to replace the fuel pump.

My fuel gage is stuck on full for my Honda civic ex 95

Looks like you have a fuel level wire that has gone to ground or you have a faulty fuel level sensor. Disconnect the sensor at the tank and see if that changes the level. If it does then the problem is with the float level sensor. If it stays at full with the sensor disconnected then somewhere the feed wire has gone to ground.

Check light went on

The check light indicates an event has occurred that requires your attention. It could be anything from a bad sensor to a plug misfiring.
You need to get an error code readout. You can get a readout from many auto supply parts stores. The loaner meter is free. You can call around. Try Advance Auto, AutoZone e.g.

Fuel tank door release, 2004 Honda Civic

The release cable is sticking or broken. To release the fuel door, open the trunk and pull off the fabric liner on the left side of the trunk. Behind this liner is the fuel door release cable; this cable leads to the fuel door and attaches with a twist-lock connector. It is cylindrical with two tabs. Twist the connector clockwise about 90 degrees and it should pull out, releasing the door.

Just remember, the fuel door will not stay closed until you put the connector back in.
