have scanned if light is on. it may be a bad or failing crank sensor. for the sensor controls timimg, it will stop engine while driving. have a good day!!

Here is the reset procedure:
1. Have the Valet Button in the OUT position. ( It is located on the dash panel left of the steering column)
2. Connect the battery - the alarm will sound.
3. Put the key in the ignition and turn to the ON position,
4. Push the Valet Button to the IN position.
The alarm will be reset, and the Valet Button will glow red.
Move the Valet Button to the OUT position again.
Repeat steps 3 & 4 and the Valet Button will become unlighted.
The car will start and everything will be fine.

SOURCE: the immobilizer for my 2001 Toyota camry is damaged, i had armed the car. how do i reset the alarm. i am able to start and drive the car but it is still flashing the hazard, i disconnected the siren.
Most of the time you can lock and unlock the drivers door with the key to disarm the system.

Disconnecting a battery cable for about 10 minutes resets computer of vehicle. This may help, maybe. It will also reset your radio stations so be aware. :.)
