SOURCE: strange noise from front end when turning

It has springs around the struts above the tires. Sounds like you have a bad strut plate bearing.

In order to find out what's causing the problem, the headliner must be dropped (removed) to access the sunroof motor so it can be inspected and removed to inspect the slide cables up inside the sunroof/moonroof assy. Until that's done, there's not much more I can do to help except speculate.

Those are the open and close distance units
sometimes they come loose and move with the vibration of the motor when opening the door

Sounds kind of like a crunching sound? right front end in drive, left front end in reverse, has all new frame bushings, new struts with springs and bearing plate, new brakes, front end shop sees nothing...

Seems like the noise is related to torque reaction from the engine/power unit that can move quite a lot under acceleration/deceleration especially if an engine mount is soft or broken.

Perhaps the exhaust or similar is badly positioned and is too close to the bodywork.

Searching for a noise that can't be duplicated on a workshop hoist needs imagination and some carefully placed brute force...

Driver side front door makes a strong spring side when opening and closing. It seems to be in the door stop mechanism but that has been replaced and the noise continues.

Try spraying your door hinges and springs with WD-40 lubricant and then swing door back and forth several times until noise hopefully disappears. Might have to spray more than once. Best wishes!
