The flasher for the 4 ways is a separate flasher unit in the fuse box.

Both of my turn signals quit working at the same time... all the fuses are fine and the flashers still work....

There might be a flasher for "Hazard lights" and one for turn signals. Probably same part, swap them and see if turn signals start working, and hazards quit working.

Hello , I have a 1998 Lincoln town car and my turn signal or hazard light wont work.

The turn signal controls do cause problems. One trick I heard of is to push the Hazard button about 12 times to cycle it. Seems the contact points inside this switch can sometimes be cleaned by using them and it will work good until the next time. All the turn signals are installed in this shaft assembly.

It is called a multi function switch or MFS. The steering column cover and the Ignition switch usually have to be removed to get to the connectors and the switch box. The Ignition switch has to be turned to Run or Acc. so the battery will need to be disconnected. Then push a pin in the underside of the column cover , (you will see a hole) and pull the ignition core out. The MFS switch box usually has 2 bolts which are female torx head. Then it is remove and replace.

Check your fuse panel if you can not get anything to work, but the Hazard flasher and the Turn flasher are usually 2 separate units. It would not hurt to test a flasher. The MFS is an expensive item even on the aftermarket. Aside from the fuse or a flasher, the only remaining thing that controls the operation of the signals is the MFS.

98 lincoln town car flashers,turn signals,brake lights don't work

check the outputs on the multi function switch (t/s switch) the brake lights and flashers all go threw this switch try to wiggle the flasher button if the lights start to work then the switch is bad to replace switch remove bottom cover by pedals if it has one bottom cover on steering colum has i beleave 4 screws that hold it on, the tilt colum lever unthreads and the cover will come off the upper colum just clips on you will have to remove the key tumbler to get it off . you need to disconnect the battery at this point and block the wheels. to get tumbler out put key in and turn to run postion there is a small silver button that pushes in with small screwdriver once its pushed in use the key to pull tumbler out the top cover will now come off you will probably have to tilt colum down and shift to 1 to get cover off there are 2 torx head screws that hold switch on plug new switch in and reconnect battery to test lights unhook battery again and reassemble please let me know how you make out

How do I fix the turn signal on my 93 town car

The flasher is located in the fuse box under the dash on the left side of steering wheel and the flasher is in there. If that is what is wrong with them.

No turn signals or emergency blinkers

I had the same problem twice before. Solved it the same way both times. In my case it was the Hazard switch at the top of the steering column. It was stuck. I knew it was that because the signal lights had been functioning perfectly until I parked my car alongside the road with the hazard lights on to do some nighttime fishing and sip a little white lightnin'. (just kiddin' about the white lightnin')

When I got back in my car to go, I turned off the hazard lights but I had no turn signal lights! So I kept pushing that hazard button up and down for about 30 times with my left turn signal arm down until it started working again. So after having this happen to me twice, I learned a valuable lesson: Don't ever use hazard signals in this car.
