2 years ago our roof started leaking causing damage to our ceiling but now ceiling has bad damage and insurance company is denied our claim saying lack of maintenance and old rusty iron on roof

have the policy read by a legal representative and if there is no requirement to maintain the roof in as new condition ( rusty iron is still water proof ), have them counter claim for breach of contract

Install new bumper pad lower and upper on 99 ford expedition

they have little arrow head type devices that push into slots in the metal bumper, to get the old ones off you can go in from behind and pinch the arrow head things with pliers and push the out but really if you are just going to throw the old pad away just pry them up and they will come off. the new bottom one may be difficult and you will think it is too short but really it will go on. start in the middle and work your way outward. you will need a rubber hammer to make the arrowhead clips sink in to the proper depth to open into the slots

Ford aerostar

Aerostar, gotta' be an old one. What year? They were made form 1986 to 1997. The newest it could be is 16 years old. So, the most likely possibilities with no more info than you've provided would be that the radiator could be clogged with calcium deposits; the fan clutch could be worn out.; the water pump could be bad.

How rusty was the coolant that came out when you replaced the thermostat? I've seen those 3.0 liter Fords with the water pump impeller blades worn completely off from pumping abrasive rusty coolant. Usually rusty coolant ends up meaning a bad head gasket which pumps air into the coolant and makes an air pocket under the thermostat and keeps it from opening because the air insulates the thermostat wax element. If the thermostat doesn't open because of air pockets, engine overheats.

4.0 liter engine not so common. Different problems, what do you have? Need more information to help you more.

Is what easy to do?

You have a 20 year old ,more than likely
very rusty & worn out vehicle

You have to go through the entire front end looking for
worn parts

Chrysler Products rust so bad I wouldn't want that job

Just bought 1995 lebarron radiater was really rusty inside and running hot i flushed it following directions on bottle discovered it leaks put bars stop leak silver powder in it drove fine from cali back...

Get a new radiator. Sounds like your old one is too far gone-will only keep giving you problems. Flush the whole coolant system, maybe a good strong back flush at a radiator shop or shop.
Bars stop leak is okay for an emergency, but most mechanics say don't use it as it can sure plug up a heater core.

My 1987 dodge dakota is not holding a charge, altonator tested and good battery only a year old but have to push start it to get it to run and my lights are really dim

You need to bypass voltage regulator to be certain alternator is charging properly. When you full field alternator it eliminates voltage regulator. If it indeed is good it will overcharge. If it overcharges as it should when you bypass/full field alternator then the regulator, or its connection or the place it attaches to is rusty & wont conduct a ground.

I replaced the thermostat and water pump and the car still over heats. Another guy told me to check the oil to make sure a head gasket wasn't gone and it was fine. Another guy said something about bleeding...

There are a number of things that one needs to look at. Make and year? Miles on the car? was the water that you drained from the radiator really rusty or clear? If rusty a back flush may ,"may" be needed. When does the car heat up? At idle after driving it...on the road at hwy speeds....does it heat up quickly or take awhile....etc. Does the car have thermostatically controlled fans? If so are they functioning properly. Have you left the radiator cap off the radiator and started the car alowing it to reach operating temp and looking in the radiator to see if the water is flowing? If the car is old and the water was really rusty it may be that the radiator is partially pluged. Hope this helps. Texas Street Rodder

Since my last post I have since had the fuel filter replaced. The old one had rusty looking fuild coming out of it, so that can't be a good sign. Don't know if it took care of it or not.
