First charge up your battery right up and disconnect the cables and let it sit by itself and see if the power goes down. If it does you have a bad battery. The reason it has power when tractor is running the generator is working.
if its not the battery then have the starter and all the electrical things checked out to see if anything is drawing power. Even a bad switch can draw power.

Take a look at this, click on the link. Hope it works. I found this url.
I was going to tell you to check your charging system and make sure battery is good. Check all wiring circuits. My experience with tractors is limited.

I have a 1976 Stingray Corvette. Was sitting for over 1 1/2' in the garage. I tried to start it and it needed a new battery. I place a new battery it started up. After a few weeks now the car does not

You have an alternating problem..I assume on a 76 model you have an internal regulator...if you have no voltage meter then charge your battery and start the var then pull positive battery terminal...if car dies, alternator is bad and needs replacing. If it stays running your at least putting out some voltage but might not be enough...most parts stores(Auto Zone, ect)will do a free voltage check(on or off vehicle)

When I turn off the ignition the radio, air and lights stay on. This is running my battery down. IS there a short somewhere or what might be the problem?

The 2000 Fords should allow the radio to continue to play until you open the driver's door. The lights may stay on for 1 or 2 minutes after you leave the car (close the driver's door) depending on the lighting/security feature of your vehicle.

Your battery should be strong enough to allow these items to remain on for several minutes. If the battery weakens that quickly, you need a new battery or you need to have your charging system inspected.

I have a 2000 Ford Focus. One week ago the battery light came on and stayed on for two days when the voltage drained and left me stranded on the side of the road. I took the alternator to a rebuild shop...

Sounds like the alternator is still not making the correct voltage to charge the fully. The battery light comes on when the alternator doesn't make enough voltage to charge it. Your alternator might still be charging, but not putting out required voltage. I would have your alternator & battery tested. Hope this helps you.

2000 ford windstar...new battery, new alternator....still won't stay charged

Something is wired wrong draining electricity. Check the glove box light see if the radio works without the key. look for anything coming strait off of the battery not off of acc power. If it was a direct wire short out of nowhere the wire would have burnt up and been bare by now.Its somthing you have on or is staying on.

1976 ford f 150 running light stay on for about 1 minute then shut off. fuse is still ok.

The DRL (Daytime Running Lights) operate off of a relay. This relay is usually located in the fuse panel under the hood.

My ford focus 2000 se is having problems keeping a charge, but I am still able to push start it and it will run until I turn it off.

sounds like a drain such as glove box or trunk light not making contact to fully close the light causing it to stay lit causing a draw or a bad alternator or even a dead cell in the battery

2000 Windstar no charge light

Check all connections to alt. and battery to make sure they are clean and tight, as it sounds like a loose or dirty connection someplace. Possibly something not tightened completely after battery and alt. replaced? (just enough to get the annoying light to go on occasionally)
