Question about Cars & Trucks
Will not start with key in start position. If I remove the cover of the starter relay and hand activate it, it will start with key in the on position. Changed the ignition switch and the neutral safty switch still will not start.

Have you used a different relay ? Look on the bottom of the relay ,see pin 86 ? Test for B+ voltage where it plugs into the relay / fuse box while someone turns the key to start ! Is there B+ voltage . Before replacing the ignition switch and the neutral safty switch did you test for battery voltage coming from the ignition switch ? Pin 85 goes to ground , you can check this with a ohm meter . Do you know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? In the start position voltage from the ignition switch goes through 10 amp crank fuse . Fuse #8 located in the I/P fuse box .
