Car heater blowing cold air and rubber burnning

If your heater is spraying a light mist through your vents it could be your heater coil. Mine did the same thing, smell rubber burning, then started a light mist through the vents. If you don't get that checked out, it could mess up your water pump and possibly your engine

Has a mist in motor

A miss or mist? If it is mist, possibly radiator hose, heater hose, oil sending unit. What kind of fluid is it? If it is a miss then first thing would be change the spark plugs if they haven't been changed in a while. If it keeps missing after that try pulling the spark plug wires one at a time with some spark plug wire pliers. If you pull one and it doesn't make a difference then that is the cylinder that isn't working. Put a spark plug in that wire and see if it is firing by grounding the base of spark plug and watching it. If it doesn't fire first try putting on a spark plug wire, if that doesn't fix it, you must have a bad coil pack. If you have spark when doing the test above then maybe an injector that isn't working. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

Problem starting hyundai 1500 auto takes 5 to 20 turns of key before it starts. However the engine turns over but does not fire.

If its turning over but not starting it can either be a fuel delivery issue or a spark issue. Fuel delivery can be caused by a clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or clogged injectors but its not common for all to go bad at once. Spark loss can be caused by fouled plugs, broken coil pack, plug wires installed wrong after a tune up, bad computer module. Get a spark tester from the auto parts store and check for spark by taking a plug wire off a plug and connecting it to the tester and then having someone either crank the car while you hold the end against a metal part on the engine or finding a way to do it solo. For checking the fuel you can remove an injector and while its still hooked up place the end of it into a small plastic container and turn the key to the on position to see if it squirts a bit of fuel as a fine mist.

I wash my 1993 toyota corolla engine and know it runs like its mist fireing or back fireing i coverd the computer and other inportyent stuff but it runs like **** know

Maybe there was a leakage inside, where you had covered it up. Or it could be a bad connection with the spark plugs in your car that are not letting it start. Take it to a mechanic and let them tell you what is wrong with it, AAMCO offers free car inspections, they might be able to tell you what is wrong with it.

Miss firing changed plugs and leads still yhe same

Try spraying a fine mist of air induction cleaner in the throttlebody while the engine is running. If it stops missing you have an injector that is not working.

Gmc safari van cranks over, but will not fire up or start.Have tried starter fluid and still no start. Has plenty of crank, but no start

I had the same problem with my 2000 GMC Safari two years ago....drove me CRAZY!

Sometimes it would start right up...other times it just would crank and not start.

It turned out to be a cracked coil....I found it by using a spray bottle with water in it, and "misting" the engine, at night....with the engine running. (On a night when it DID start!)

It took a while, but finally the hairline crack let in some water and the electrical short showed by a spark coming out of the coil.

I replaced the coil with a new one, and it has never "not started" since.

Evidently the coil cover gets brittle and develops small, hairline cracks due to heat from the engine. the way....I tested the coil it showed that it was fine!....but it took the "misting" at the find the spark "leaking" out.

My Ford Probe 96 will not start cause the guy i buying it off of took the water pump off and he knock the timing belt off and he tried to put it back on and now it will not fire up now it like turns over...

The Timing is WAY off. It is Really Hard to set the Timing on this Car. You will need to Locate a Mechanic and have him Reset the Timing. Once it is Reset, it should Fire right up Unless the Guy Messed up More stuff. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
