no it doesnt,to undo fit a appropiate socket and using a big knuckle bar wedged in suspension turn starter motor to undoo the bolt

Lefty Loosey, Righty Tighty. As you look at the bolt from the front of the engine. It should loosen when turned counter clockwise. Curios though, why are you removing and replacing the tensioner? If your having trouble with belt tension it is most likely the belt.

Does anyone know the exact torque spec for a 2014 Scion TC crank pulley bolt? It's the 2arfe engine if that helps.

Torque has to do with the size of the bolt and the thread per inch as well as the thread pitch and is not specific to any vehicle .Its got to do with bolt and the nut .
And seeing you want the crank pulley also known as the harmonic balancer spins in the direction that would tighten the bolt the finer the thread and larger bolt and the harder the metal the more torque it will handle but your in the range of 50 to 60 ft lbs if your worried get some blue loctite don't use red it will never come off with out a torch again .
It will tighten because of the direction the engine spins

What is the length and size of a 1996 caillac deville idler pulley bolt?I recently broke my idler pulley bolt and now i dont know the length of the bolt

one inch to one and a quarter inches of threads protruding is plenty, just make sure that the bolt is at least a 10/9 grade steel. the grade is stamped on the head of the bolt.

You already answered your question partially. The thread size is 12mm. You can a helicoil kit at most parts stores. Buy the kit for a 12 mm and it will have all the necessary items you need to complete the install. The kits are usually pretty inexpensive. I know that NAPA sells these kits over the counter in many different sizes.

Crankshaft pulley bolt worked its way out of end of crankshaft. Car still ran but no oil pressure. Is it possible that it was stripped when oil pump was replaced or is it more likely it was not torqued...

Either or are possible. This should be done professionally but if u want to check the threads, Get the exact bolt size including thread size (specs should be on new part, get from OEM) Try hand threading it into the crank (GENTLY) use a ratchet to feel for a stripped thread. You can do the same with a tap from a tap & die set. If is well, use threadlock on the new hardware threads. DONT FORCE IT, IF IT'S NOT STRIPPED TOURQUE TO SPEC, IF IT'S STRIPPED IT'S STRIPPED. What changed?
The pulley can't change by itself.
The main crankshaft pully is usually called the harmonic damper.
It has a layer of rubber between the inner and outer.
If the rubber is shot, the outer ring may be able to move.
You need to examine it closely to see if the thin rubber stip is loose. Look at a new one in a parts store, or online.

If bad, you not only need to be sure of the direection the retaining nut or bolt turns, but you may need a steering wheel puller to get it off. You can borrow, rent, or buy a puller cheap at AutoZone, JC Whitney, or Harbor Freight. There usually are threaded holes in the damper for that purpose. Put nut or bolt back on loosely so no thread damage from puller.

Replacing water pump from hell!! and cant get crank pulley off

I'm not an expert by any means, but I just replaced the timing belt and water pump on my 1999 300M. The biggest problem I had was getting the harmonic balancer (crank pulley) off, took me 3 days to figure out. first off you need a 3 claw puller and it hooks in the center of the pulley. DO NOT pull from the outside rim or you will damage it like I did and have to replace it. Behind the pulley at the bottom is a cover plate held by 3 bolts, remove the bolts and the cover will drop under the car, all 3 claws will now hook onto the center of the pulley. Now you need something for the puller to push against, I took a THIN socket extension and inserted it into the pulley shaft (MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HIT THE THREADS) it should go in about 4-5 inches, I cut it to the size I needed and used the wrench end to rest the puller bolt against, get some tension and tap pulley with a hammer, keep repeating this and it will be off in just a couple of minutes. Putting pulley back on was also a problem, but if you get a long 10mil bolt you can simply tighten the pulley back onto the shaft until the regular bolt can reach the threads to finish.

Underdrive Pulley Geo Metro - 1996 the bottom pully is lose and u can move it back and forth there is no bolts holding it in place just the frame and engine i need to know what kind of bolts to get to put...

There should be at least three bolts holding it onto the balancer. Take the pulley off and check the holes to make sure they were not damaged, If they are, use a tap to repair threads. then get a few bolts and see what fits.If you needed a tap use tap size. They likely are metric, close to 3/8 sae in size..(for reference...don't use sae) Make sure they don't protrude too far out the backside or they will hit the engine. If in doubt, turn pulley by hand to make sure.

Broken crankshaft pulley bolt on mitsibushi pajero 2.5td 1993 rhd to remove easily the broken part which is in crankshaft,pulley is off

The only possibility I can suggest is that which is called and 'Easyout.' These are available at parts stores and come (normally) with a sized drill and a special bit with left-hand threads.
First a hole is drilled with the provided drill bit, then the removal bit is screwed into the new hole and turned counter-clockwise which further inserts the removal bit and, if the removal bit does not snap, the broken threaded shank should back out.
I would suggest soaking the broken part with penetrating lubricant first and allowing it time to seep into the threads of the broken bolt.
