Failed OBDII Diagnstic trouble codes P0761 and O1744 What does this mean?

code P0761-
Possible causes - Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty shift solenoid 3 valve
- Shift solenoid 3 valve harness or connectors
- Shift solenoid 3 valve circuit is open or shorted
P0761 FORD Description Shift solenoid valve 3 is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position. When is the code detected? The P0761 code is detected when the ECM has detected a mechanical fault with the solenoid energized, valve stuck off code O1744- is not a code these are the ones I have found that come close

Need wiring guide for replacing stock radio 1996 ford windstar with Dual Model XD 1222 radio have harness still need wiring assistance

I would get an adapter harness that will plug into your existing vehicle plug, and the wires are color coded to match up to most aftermarket stereos. You could check e-Bay, or a local automotive audio store for the adapter harness.

Sensor under front of master cylinder is leaking. what is sensor for

The sensor is for the Cruise Control (Speed Control). When you press the brake pedal, the sensor under the master cylinder deactivates the Cruise Control. There is a recall on those sensors for many years of Windstars and other Fords. The sensor leaks, flows down the wires to the connector, brake fluid gets in the wiring harness and causes a fire.

1999 ford windstar speedometer not working keeps blowing fuse to speedometer. Thanks!

Check the wire harnesses on top of the transmission for any signs of open plastic casing. You may of had a mouse or some other critter chew their way through some wire insulation which is causing a short to ground,,,, or a short to power. If any are found, spice wires back together ( same colour wires ) and try speedo again.
