Myself i would find a wiring diagram an see where the power comes from ! You can find free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Under system click on HVAC - heating ,ventilation an A/C . under subsystem click on HVAC controls ,then click on the search button .Two links will pop up , click on them one at a time . Is your system manual or automatic ? Automatic has a blower motor speed controller . The manual has a blower motor resistor assembly . You can find videos on youtube on how to test blower electrical circuits !

Well i would test to see if there is power to the unit, is there is then it could be a resister if not it could be a fuse or resistor. i would start in the fuse panel.

2003 grand marquis climate control fan speed runs only on high

Its probably going to be the fan resistor. Most times it is on top of the fan itself but could be elsewhere behind dash. 90% sure thats your prob though.

2005, Grand marquis, aircondition works on max or regular AC setting, but fan only works on the highest setting, will not work on slower fan speeds

this is a smiple repair, replace the blower motor resistor, this is what controls the lower speeds and is very common, the resistor is locate in the heater box next to the blower motor.

Mercury grand marquis,ls,2001. the ac blower is not working. I jumped the fan direct from the battery and it works. How can I by pass the climate control and install a manual switch. I beleive the climate...

Have you checked the fuse under the dash. You can run power directly from the battery as you did to test the blower just make sure you use a high amp rated switch and make sure you install an inline fuse rated no more than ten amps if you use say 14 guage wire. Let me know how it goes good luck.

2001 mercury marquis no fan for heater. climate controlsystem on

Ok you have a bad blower speed controller if you have power to the motor.
It is located under the hood in the heater housing just below the heater core coolant hoses.
You will have to drain coolant.
Remove the nuts holding the Vapor Management valve and set it aside.
Remove coolant hoses to heater core.
Disconnect electrical connector to the blower speed controller, remove screws, pull it out of heater housing.
