What kid of antifreeze should i use in my 2006 pontiac torrent and brand of oil

Your owners manual should have this info. GM vehicles mostly use dex-cool antifreeze. I looked at your owners manual, for oil viscosity it says 5W30. As far as brand, we could talk all day. Everybody has their favorite brand.

Speedometer not working have replaced vss

What make , model an year vehicle ? The VSS - vehicle speed sensor is an input to the PCM , The PCM sends this info to the instrument cluster over serial data bus , just like oil pressure ,coolant temp. etc... If the engine runs fine an vehicle shifts good the VSS isn't bad . I would have it hooked up to a professional grade scan tool to see if instrument cluster is receiving the speed info . If it is the gauge is bad . GM had bad step motor's in the instrument clusters 2003 - 2006 . Other make vehicles also !
