Getting it to start

Not only that, we need to know what's happening or not happening.

With what little you've given us, here are the possibilities.

Battery, battery wires, battery clamps, alternator, alternator fuse, regulator, starter, seized engine, lifters, crankshaft, camshaft, timing belt, timing chain, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, fuel, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pump fuse, fuel injectors, fuel injector fuse, fuel injector relay, wrong key, key chip, key chip reading system, ignition switch, ignition switch relays, ignition switch fuses, multiple computers, in wrong gear, clutch not pressed, and I'm sure I missed a dozen more.

I need to know where to plug the wires for the ignition key cylinder

look under the drivers foot well it is just a plug on fitting on the electrical part of the ignition switch .you cant plug a wire in .if you want to fit something you do that at a spare fuse section ,of the fuse box.

1988 Trans Am will not start when ignition is turned all the way.

Take a test light to the small wire on the starter and have someone turn it to the start position. If the light lights up and the engine doesn't turn over, I would suspect the starter itself. If the test light doesn't light, try it in neutral and repeat test. If it still doesn't light up, it may be the PRNDL switch or the ignition switch itself.

Prado Tailgate or (Rear door) doesn't lock

Hello! There is a 4 pin connector that plugs into the tailgate with colors; Gray/Blue (pin4)...White/Black (pin1)...Blue/Black (pin3)...And Blue/White (pin 2)...Pins 2 & 3 are the motor that operates the tailgate...pins 1 & 4 are the switch contacts with pin 1 (White/Black wire tied to chassis ground)...When you press your remote Ground should be on pin #4...Check the plug to see if it is properly connected also inspect for loose or broken wires....If all looks good open the left kick panel and switch relays "L" and "U" and see if the problem occurs on a different door...If it does Relay "L" is the culprit...Replace relay...Guru...saailer

Drivers seat 2000 outback

So here is a diagram of the seat circuitry for your car. Since every other function works except the forward/backward slide function, that leaves basically the forward/backward slide motor, the seat switch, and/or the wiring. If you can verify that the wiring under the seat is in good condition without obstructions, chaffed wires, and/or wires pulled too tight, then it's safe to say it's down to just the motor and/or the switch. Sometimes if the passengers front seat has the same switch, you can plug it in to the drivers' side connector and see what works and what doesn't. If the seat works fine with the other switch, then that's all it needs, if not then it will need a motor. If the other seat doesn't have a switch then you can find them at wrecking yards, or just supply power and ground to the motor in question to see if it works. If it does, then you know you kneed a switch and if not then a motor.
I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

1990 7.3 ford diesel wont shut down

You need to determine if the problem is in the ignition switch or the fuel shut off solenoid in the Injector pump. As you stand in front of the truck facing the engine, the wire that goes to the FRONT connector on the DRIVERS side top of the injector pump will be the shut off solenoid.

turn the key to "run" and then disconeect that wire, if it "clicks' then the problem is most likely the ignition switch. If it doesn't then run a jumper wire from the positive post of a bettery to the connection. If it clicks then the problem is the ignition switch, If it doesn't, then the solenoid has failed. the fuel shut off solenoid is available and not hard to change. Just be sure to pay attention to to the spring and how it is assembled. You can purchase the fuel shut off solenoid from mid west fuel injection, there may be other places but I know they have it. Ignition switch should be available form most any auot parts store.

70 chevelle front turn signal does not work but parking light does, rear signal works. If you switch wires at socket, parking light lworks using either wire but turn signal does not work

Hi, either the turn signal switch is bad or the wire has broken. First trace the wire back toward the switch to see if you can find a break. If you have a test light, ground the clip to a bare spot under the dash and shove the probe into the back of the turn connector (blue wire) at the base of the steering column. This connector is attached to the side of the column just above your feet. Turn the key and signal on to see if the light will blink. If it does, you know the wire is broken between that connector and the bulb. If it doesn't blink, replace the switch. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

The key to the ignition with the chip need to be replace but how and where do i go to get a new key and can the old key be reprogram?

Don't go to the dealer, cause they are way expensive.  Call a couple of local locksmith shops to find the cheapest price.  Also, look on e-bay for the key and chip to save money and then all you gotta do is pay for the labor to have the locksmith program the thing for you.
