Https://s22.postimg.org/vqszt09dt/fuel_pump.jpg this is for 2.2L engine.

Click on the link, there is no reset switch. Note the diagram. Voltage for load side of relay comes from fuel pump/inj fuse, probably goes hot with the key on. At fuel pump connector, gray wire is voltage, black is ground, need both.
I don't know what testing you have done? Engine cranking did you visually check for spark at the plugs? Do you have fuel injector pulse? Any applicable trouble codes?

I have a 96 cavalier. I was driving it and it just stopped running and wouldn't restart. Its not the battery and I have gas. What could it be?

You need to use a scanner to trouble shoot. It can be a fuelpump relay or fuelpump or a broken timing chain or belt. See if you can find a test port on the fuel injector rail and determine if you have fuel pressure.

Some of the autoparts stores have tool loaner programs. If you can see any rocker arms or internal parts through openings in the valve cover cranking the engine will reveal if the valve train is working or not.

Some cars have ignition relays as well. Autozone.com has free diagrams once you register your car with them.

I have a 2003 mercury moumtaneer, and it wont start,it will turn over but wont hit, tried starting it the other day and it sounded like it wanted to start but didnr any suggestions

Check in the rear cargo area for a removable side panel. There should be a switch with a button on it. Push the button for 3 seconds and then try to start your vehicle. The switch is a safety switch for impacts and is called an Inertia switch. If you have an Owners manual you can read about it.

If it still does not start, listen for the fuelpump. It should run for 1 or 2 seconds when the Ignition key is first turned. There is a Relay in the Black box usually under the hood on the Drivers side. The Fuelpump relay may be bad or check the fuse panel per the Owners manual.

Is there a way to get to the fuelpump by removing the backseat on my chevy cavalier? I heard some cars has that feature but cant find out anything about it.

The chevy cavalier does not have underseat access. Its more foreign vehicles and some newer domestic models that do.

Fuel pump not getting power checked fuses and relay and fuel pump is relay board bad

Check in the trunk on the drivers side for an opening in the carpet. There can be 2 switches and 1 is for the Air ride and the other is a fuelpump safety switch. The safety switch is called an "Inertia switch" and it has a push button for Reset. Just hold the button down for 3 seconds and it will reset.

Then turn on the Ignition and you should hear the fuelpump run for a few seconds. It should be ready to start. If the Inertia switch was tripped it is made to kill the fuelpump upon impact. Slamming a door or the trucklid can make it kill the fuelpump.

03 cavalier w/ no fuel at fuelrail or in lines (fuel pump)

Could be a fuel pump relay or fuse. These are both located in the engine compartment fuse box. I would check these both out. If one of those isnt the culprit I will help you push it off the cliff. Thanks for using fixya!

Sincerely,

JC
