Probably a torn rubber in a motor mount.
Try it with the engine compartment open, so you can see if the engine moves excessively.
Make sure the watcher is not standing infront of vehicle.
But clutch could be sticking if the linkage is binding.

check tranny fluid. go straight to transmission shop for service and inspection if engine is not surging. drive car in l or 2nd.or 3rd see if jurks in one gear.

Overdrive light flashes on shifter then. Truck shuts off. I already replaced the speed sensor as that was the code it gave


sounds like the torque convertor clutch is staying locked up and not relsing when it quits running does it jurk like you were driving a stick shift and tryed to stop withe the car in gear without pushing in the clutch if so this is the problem the dtc will conferm this

Rough accleration through 2nd gear


Had a loose Distributor cap and spark plug. Changed out the plug wires anyway and truck runs great.

When driving (auto) in 2nd gear car jurks


If the transmission fluid was VERY low, the damage may already be done. I know on alot of Rav-4's, there is a computer problem, that causes transmission problems. basically, it wants to shift into 2 gears at once, and will eventually make the transmission come apart. BUT, it has to be replaced WITH the ECU because it will just break the new transmission. I would take it to your local Toyota dealer and have them check the ECM and transmission.

check throttel valve cable it shoul be with adjusted to 1/32 in eather direction of the throttel stud
