2002 Honda Accord. The sunroof's vinyl drain tube on the driver's side has shrunk or pulled back at the bottom end approximately 1.25 inches pulling away from the molded rubber grommet near the kick

here are some pics of your problem, you could get a new tube from honda or a new tube from a hardware store, disconnect the tube from the top, tape the new tube to the top of the old tube, tape it good, pull the old tube out the bottom and attach the new tube at the top and to the grommet on the bottom,OR you may be missing the grommet, get a new grommet or,use a straw from a plastic cup and attach it over the old tube and insert through the hole in body.,25351676-4xvsciucyrxwqvq5ys1rwwmi-2-0.jpg 25351676-4xvsciucyrxwqvq5ys1rwwmi-2-2.jpg 25351676-4xvsciucyrxwqvq5ys1rwwmi-2-5.jpg 25351676-4xvsciucyrxwqvq5ys1rwwmi-2-9.png 25351676-4xvsciucyrxwqvq5ys1rwwmi-2-14.png 25351676-4xvsciucyrxwqvq5ys1rwwmi-2-20.png

While changing the transmission pan gasket and filter i noticed a piece of plastic in the pan. it is about 2 inches long and looks like a mushroom with an o-ring on the head of it. i cant figure out where...

Hi, welcome to FixYa.com my name is Shawn and I will be answering your question.

That yellow plug is from the factory. They use that to plug the dipstick tube hole before they install the dipstick tube to keep the fluid from running out. Just throw out the yellow plastic piece. When they install the dipstick tube it pushes the piece into the trans pan where it stays until you change the fluid and throw it out.

I hope my assistance helped you and resolved your concern, if you need further assistance please ask.

Amateur radio installation in 2009 jeep patriot

To run any wire through the firewall, find a spot that is both reachable and unobstructed on both sides of the wall. I generally use a very short bit so after penetrating, it does not accidentally plunge into other wiring or components, or I use a collar over the bit (a small piece of tubing, leaving only 1/4" of bit exposed) I sometimes also "cheat" by poking a hole in the rubber boot where the steering column goes through.
Whenever passing a wire through sheet metal you must install a grommet. (if none are available, you can make one by using a piece of rubber tubing or the cut off end of an old tire valve.)
When tapping power from the battery, you will need to use a relay and switch attached to the "accessory on" side of the ignition switch, to prevent whatever you are installing from remaining on after the vehicle has been turned off. Use fuses in all new power sources as well to protect the vehicle and your new install from damage.
In creating a new circuit, you have the opportunity to use shielded wire, which will prevent stray electrical "noise" in your set" not a bad idea to do that.
good luck

Makes a ticking noise when i try to start it

eric665, LS1's are notorious for "piston slap" when cold. It was an issue for a few years. It could also be the check valves in the A.I.R. tubes or you might need thicker oil.

Thanks..
