SOURCE: 2004 clunking noise thru steering!

Its probably the intermediate steering shaft. The shaft where it goes thru the firewall is known for clunking on these trucks. GM makes a lube kit to fix the noise. I don't have the part number handy, but the parts guy at the local dealer will know what you are looking for.

Good Luck

SOURCE: clunk noise from front passenger side when

That noise sounds to me like a Ball Joint problem. I would check to see if you have fittings to grease the front suspention.

Good luck, Allen

SOURCE: Front driver side suspension knock over bumps

See if you can bounce car and replicate the noise. If you can, you should be able to find it, and put your hand on it. Stabilizer bushing are a place to look, both at the lower a arm and on the frame. If you narrow it down to the strut, it will need to be replaced. The front trans mount also goes bad, try putting it in drive with your foot on the brake and give it some gas and see if the engine moves an excessive amount.

Front wheals sound loose got no control of steering and rattling noise

I'm not familiar with your car because they are not imported into the USA. But from your description, it sounds like you have a front hub bearing which the wheel is related to, which has failed in a very serious manner.Assuming this is front wheel drive, the front wheels are going to try to go in different directions due to how serious the bearing failure is. It is best left up to a professional to fix the problem. Odds ar you don't have the proper tools or axcess to them to do the job.DO NOT DRIVE THIS CAR ANY MORE AND HAVE IT TOWED TO THE GARAGE OF YOUR CHOICE.! YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO HAPPEN!!!!!!

My car is making a rattling noise and leaking clear fluid

I am guessing the fluid is transmission fluid, the ratteling could be from the drive plate on the torque convertor, the vibration is damaging the front transmission seal, hence the leak. Trans has to be pulled, $4 seal replaced and possible the drive plate replaced from loose bolt damage, plate is about $40 to $80, about 5 hours labour, Hope this helps, Good luck

The front axle, cv joint and dic break rota

Does the sound get louder as you drive, does it start to sound like a moaning or loud wind noise? If it does the most common problem is a bad bearing that the rotor bolts to and the axle slides through.

You didn't say which model or engine.
Check for loose heat shields, broken engine or transmission mounts.

Sounds like something hits under passenger side near front of car. My son decribes it as a hard grinding sound. Thank you, Mrs. Margaret A. Hunt mhunt3@bak.rr.com (661) 283-0674 (661) 4285005 my cell (661)...

Does the sound only occur when you're turning the wheel? If so, it may be a failing CV joint.. It could also be a loose drive axle connecting rod. My 97 Tercel CE had an unusual problem: there is a strange rubber/metal "donut" thing which is mounted on the main drive axle, mine came loose and was whacking around along the axle's shaft.

If you remove the passenger side front wheel, then take off the splash guard (two 10mm bolts on the side in the wheel well + two 10mm nuts on the front) you can see the drive axle. If the rubber/metal stabilizer donut has broken loose from the clips which hold it in place, then it will whack around regardless of what speed/direction you're going.

In my case, in the end I was too lazy to disconnect the drive axle and wheel assembly, so I just took some large zip ties and re-fastened the donut into approximately the proper place on the drive axle. That solved my problem, and it runs smoothly now.

Hopefully it's not your CV joint! Hope this helps.

How much for suspensions on 95 sunfire

Its hard to put a price on something you can't see, the best thing to do is find a auto shop you know you can trust and get an estimate Word of mouth travels ferther and faster than anything, just ask around, not all auto shops are rip offs.

1976 jeep cj7 transmition

Not a lot to go on here! But, Sounds like this has an auto trans? If it has, get a socket on the front crankshaft pulley nut, turn the engine just a bit back an forth. If you hear a metal to metal 'clunking', then remove the inspection cover at the front bottom of the trans. Now move the flywheel with a screwdriver, you will find that the flex-plate is loose or broken. If its a manual trans, None of this applies! Frankster016
