SOURCE: i got a 2001 chevy/silverodo c1500 new battery month old it was all fine i got in to start it an it all but it won't turn over it won't make a noise nothing from starter the fuses r all good

Do you have a volt meter ? How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit Here is a site for wiring diagram Enter your vehicle info.Year, make , model , an engine size. Then under system click on engine , then under sub system click on charging system (starter system is also under that ) Then click the search button , then click on the blue link . You can issolate the starter circuit at the starter relay in the under hood fuse box , to see which side of the circuit is bad , control or the load (starter) side . If you pull the relay out of the fuse/relay box an look on the bottom you will see four numbers 86, 85 & 30 ,87 .If you were to take a piece of 12 gage wire an jump where 30 & 87 plug into the fuse / relay box . And if the starter spins the engine over you just eliminated the starter , battery cables , ground circuit as not being the problem . This would indicate that something on the control side was bad , Park neutral safety switch , ignition switch . But before replacing parts some electrical testing should be done . Hope this helps an if you have an questions let us know .

My mitsubishi galant suddenly won't start

1. Check n clean battery cables with a battery brush. Look at both ends, if able.
2. Check battery acid level. Add if needed, get a jump.
3. All OK? Then get a battery load-test done free at a parts store.

18 degrees in September? Isn't that Celsius?

Car was rinning perfect. One day it would not start. there was nothing, no clicking ,bell and guages were working. Jump start was nothing. Installed a new battery there was nothing. Went bact back 2 hours...

It sounds like you have an issue with your PassLock security system. I had the same with my 2002 Impala. Key turns OK, but won't start, won't crank. Wait 20-30 minutes, and car starts normally. There is usually a clue from the Battery and Security lights.
The problem starting to happen once a month, and eventually 1-2 times a week.
There are several write-ups on this problem for several GM cars for 2000-2006(?). Search this website, and search the web.
The official solution is to replace the ignition switch. The best solution is to bypass the Pass Lock system. I went ahead and did a full bypass, which involves cutting wires and adding resistors to the ignition circuit. I have not had a problem since.

My 2009 Honda Ridgeline won't start?... Everything seems to be working but will not start. You can hear a lot of clicking sound. Please help as soon as you can... Thank You in Advance, GENE...

Is it only clicking when you turn the key and you are not hearing the engine turn over?
If that is the case, it is either the starter, the starter solenoid, or the starter relay.... unless your battery or battery connections are bad.

An "old school" test....

Turn on the headlights and turn the key. If they dim out to nothing, either the battery is dead or the battery connections are bad.

If the engine cranks.....

A quick "old timers check"... Fuel, spark, air.....

Fuel- tank not empty, gas is getting to engine? (you need somebody who knows a little about cars to check this)

Spark- again, you need somebody who knows a little about cars- pull a spark plug wire and connect it to an old spark plug, allowing it to lay on a piece of metal. Crank the engine and see if it sparks... HIGH VOLTAGE!!!! DO NOT HOLD IT!!! IT WILL HURT ALLOT IF YOU DO!!!!

Air.... Is the air filter clogged? Hold it up to some light and if you cannot see light through it, it is bad.

93 Chev.c1500 won't kick over

It could be the temp sensor switch. Fuel injected engines (most GM models) use the temp sensor as the choke sensor as well. I had a Buick that did the same thing and replaced temp sensor and worked fine thereafter.
