Question about 1995 Chevrolet C/K 2500
1995 Chevy turbo diesel keeps dying out. Truck runs great then sometimes just dies like someone killed the key. I've replaced the all filters, fuel pump, fuelpump relay, fuel shut-off solinoid, fuel shut-off switch and just two years ago the injector pump was rebuilt. I suspect that it is a electrical problem, a hidden sensor or maybe a short somewhere. No check engine light and this happens at random. Sometimes will run a week before this occurs and other times will do it three or four times within an hour. Always fires right back up. I have noticed that the fuel guage jumps around alott. It works like the truck sometimes it works and other times it jumps around or it just lays there on E. I think that might be the sending switch in the fuel tank. If it is the tank switch going out could that be causing the truck to randomly die or does anyone else have any ideas. I know that these year model chevy diesels have a bad rep and aren't the most reliable but can't afford a new vehicle.
Sounds like you have a problem with the crank sensor. They can have an intermitant fault.like an open curcuit Try changing the sensor.good luck hope that was helpfull.
