Question about 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

1 Answer

2004 mitsubishi endeavor shakes while in idle and upon acceleration.. doesn't struggle.. makes a knock noise every now and then (hoping nothing major).. went to a couple mechanics.. heard different prices and what they believe the problem is.. I am in NYC.. would really appreciate a solution so I wouldn't look so puzzle, more then likely makes me an easy target.. would like to know exactly whats going on and tell them exactly what needs fix without them telling me about my brakes or aixle. thank you.

Check your engine mounts you may have a broken engine mount that is what causes that noise at idle

Mitsubishi Endeavor 2004 making roaring noise in rear

It just may be the tires. Tire cupping will make a roaring noise. You can check for this with your palm. Run you hand over the tread of the tire while parked. Look and feel for cups or scalloped dips appearing around the edge of the tread on one side or the other.

2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor - Only when turning left on the passenagers side: water leaks and a noise that sounds like sliding sand or a shifting sizzle. We had the air cond drain clean out but a week later...

Hi,
Looks like the drain pipe/tube from ur A/C blower housing is blocked and need to be cleaned out!
Look for that rubber tube, pull it out and use any flexible wire to clean out the molds and grimes!
hope that clears up everything!
Taaah!

I have a knocking sound in the backend of my 2004 Endeavor.

There are multiple bushings in the rear spindles. I just had to change both driver and pass side rear lower control arm bushings in the girlfriends. They are a mitsu only part and go for about 50 each.

Rough idle

I took mine in to change the plugs and they said there are four O2 sensors in the fuel mixture system and two were bad. I didn't replace them since they were a little pricey ($500 to replace both) and I have 103,000 on the car. Has very similar roughness and occasional oscillations, but no stalling. Hope this helps.

04 Endeavor rattling noise

I had the same problem! I crawled underneath the car and discovered that a heat shield on the exhaust header pipe was corroded and rattling against the exhaust pipe. (Before the muffler)
I removed the portion and clamps and solved the problem. Give it a try.
