SOURCE: antitheft has set and not sure how to reset it on a 03 malibu
try the 10 minute re-learn:
put key in ignition and attempt to start, let off the key and leave in the run position for about 10 minutes or untill the security light goes out, shut key off and wait 5 seconds, attempt to start vehicle normally, it should start.

We don't give out information on over riding anti theft systems We don't know if yo are trying to steal it or bypass it to run the car car without the parents permission. so f you want to do this you will have to contact us and spend the money an give us credit card information to fix this, or go to a lock smith and have them fix it for you. This is a protection for you and For us if yo use the premium support we have a name a number and a credit card number to match up the information with in case it happens to be stolen car. Or a teenager trying to use the car without parents permission.

reprograming is very common, this is done all the time even with newer cars, some times cars new newer or diffrent programing installed in them and dealer is the only one that can do it unless someone has a dealer scan tool.As far as replacing it would depend on the problem and i think the dealer would of told them the computer was bad. hope this helps.

shut all the doors, go to the passengers side put the key in the door, lock and unlock it a couple of times with the key, do the same on the drivers side, usually that will disarm the security system... hope that helps.. if you have keyless entry, you may want to look in the owners manual, sometimes theres a reset procedure in it.

The transaxle is not in the PARK position.

The normal headlamps are turned OFF.
The BCM activates the system by grounding CKT 592. This action energizes the DRL relay. This condition allows a reduced voltage to flow to the headlamps. When the headlamp switch is turned to ON, the headlamps operate normally.
The parking brake provides an input to the BCM. When the parking brake is engaged, the DRL remain disabled until the parking brake is disengaged.

The powertrain control module (PCM)
The body control module (BCM) contains the logic of the Theft Deterrent System. The BCM provides the battery positive voltage to operate the Passlock?"¢ sensor. The BCM also measures the voltage of the security sensor signal circuit. The voltage measured will indicate whether the Passlock?"¢ sensor has been activated and whether the resistance value from the sensor is a valid value or the tamper value. If voltage measured is in the valid range, the BCM compares this voltage, voltage code, to a previously learned voltage code. If the voltage codes match, the BCM sends a class 2 message containing a password to the powertrain control module (PCM). If the voltage codes do not match, or the voltage is in the tamper range, or there is a circuit fault, the BCM will not send the correct password to the PCM, and the vehicle will not start.
The body control system consists of a BCM and it's associated controls. Battery positive voltage is provided to the BCM from CLSTR fuse in the Fuse Block-left I/P. The module ground is wired to ground G201. The BCM is wired to the Class 2 serial data communication bus as well as discreet input and output terminals to control the functions of the vehicles body !
Now then Karen what problem is your vehicle having , no start an SECURITY light flashing or on solid ?
