You need to remove the internal door panel, then you can see the screw to remove the side mirror. Sometime you need to remove the glass before you can reach the screw.

My 2003 Honda Element was driving fine but shift hard now you start it and it want move at all what do I do to fix it

If your 2003 Honda Element is experiencing shifting problems and will not move, there could be several possible causes. Some potential reasons for this issue include:
  • A problem with the transmission, such as low transmission fluid levels or a faulty shift solenoid
  • A problem with the engine, such as a loss of power or a lack of compression
  • A problem with the driveshaft or differential, such as a broken or damaged component
In order to diagnose and fix the problem, it is recommended to have the vehicle assessed by a qualified mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the specific cause of the issue and recommend the appropriate repair. It is important to address any shifting problems promptly, as they can affect the safety and performance of your vehicle.

My honda odessy 2003 model finds difficult to select gear easily now. Sometimes on speed and I suddenly step on the breaks, to accelerate again become problem.

have the auto transmission fluid level checked, if the fluid has never been changed i'd do that as these are classic trans fluid problems, don't leave it to long to do as could cause a mechanical prob then your into serious problems

Transmission oil was low, so we added to fill level and it helped for 1st, and a little in 3rd, but still no 5th gear

Assuming this is a manual shift transmission then 5th has probaly melted due to no lube.5 th gear is smaller on the countershaft and does not dip into the sump as far.So it is the first to loose oil when trans is low.If this is a 5 speed auto like on the 04 up accords and odessy vans then clutches are most likely damaged.Either way you are gonna need transmission repair.Good luck!

My 2003 honda pilot is difficult to shift into drive

There could be a number of issues with a Honda Pilot not shifting into drive. In fact, I had this problem with my 2003 Honda Pilot two weeks ago and had to replace my transmission. More than 100,000 2003 Honda Pilots were recalled in 2004 because of a transmission problem -- was your Honda part of that recall? If so, Honda may help you with some of the costs.

If the problem is not with the transmission, I suggest making sure that your steering column is not locked. You will also notice that on the top of the steering column is a small plate. If you remove the plate and press down with a coin, you can unlock the steering column, enabling you to shift into drive.

Hopefully these solutions will help...but be sure to see your auto service shop for more details on your situation.
