Could be plugs or wires, try a tune up first.

Transmission has been fluttering a while now. Today after much rain and running through much standing water the fluttering got worse and even slipped some. Why?

Steve, Please post what type of vehicle, model year, and milage..I'm guessing you need a transmission filter and fluid change..NOW... take it to the local transmission place .....or better yet ask around and see who is the best transmission shop in town..(the best mechanics usually hang around the local drag strip)...

1996 GMC Jimmy, flutters when in idel

You could have a cloged EGR valve on the jimmy, which can be removed and cleaned with carb or injector cleaner which you can buy at any parts store.
As for the air leak on the brake system on the truck. That's bad and needs to be replaced or repaired, taking a guess that the sevice brake valve gaskets may be bad.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Idiling Issue

I had a similar problem with my 1999 camry 4 cyl except the check engine light never came on. When engine warmed up if I would stop at a red light it do almost exactly as you described. I would clean the throttle body and definitely the IAC (Idle air control) valve. Check out this link http://rav4world.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11555

I cleaned mine a little differently than this link. I used throttle body cleaner and sprayed inside the IAC hole. The spray tube would not reach down in the hole so I used a small piece of aquarium air line to extend the sprayer. I did a few 3 second bursts and then let soak about half hour. Reconnected air intake hose and drove it a few blocks and repeated the process. I replaced sensors, had injectors cleaned, new plugs etc. and nothing helped until I cleaned the IAC. After cleaning I would have the injectors cleaned.
Hope this helps.

Stalling and fluttering

Have you checked your vacuum lines? Also the fuel filter or the gas line might need replacement.

Thanks,
