Hi Sounds like your distrbutor is siezed to the block. Try spraying some rust inhititor on it. If you can get it to mover work it back and forth until it loosens up. Keep adding lube and then it wil free up and you can replace it.

Jeep 95 wrangler power to coil no spark changed wires cap coil need help never gave me a problem before won't sart checked ground everything looks good

Remove distributor cap have someone tap the key while you watch the rotor inside the distributor if it does not move that is the problem then it could be the gear shear pin has broke or cam is not turning distributor.

Car wont move in any gear

My guess would be you cooked the transmission or the torque converter if it won't move and nothing sounded like it broke.
Is the check engine light on when the motor is running ?

93 chevy lumina runs rough dies and won't start after it warms up

Back firing is usually an indication of a timing issue

The timing chain is most likely worn & jumped a couple
of teeth or the distributor was installed wrong,if you recently
had work done

91 5.0 LX, ran fine yesterday but hesitated when pulling into the garage. Next morning it would crank over rapidly but won't fire. dosen't seem to be getting spark. Any ideas? Thank You.

I would check the timing belt. If it is hard to access, then pull the distributor cap or valve cover. If nothing moves as you crank it. Your belt broke.

2001 astro chevy van 4.3 engines need to set the timing

The distributor in that engine can only be installed in one position. The hold down is built onto the distributor meaning when it is installed and the engine runs the computer is responsible for the timing. The distributor will move a little but won't correct major timing errors.

1998 ford escort

check to see if the timing belt broke but do not turn the engine with the key you might bend valves if you have a distributor turn the lower harmonic balancer a little looking to see if the rotor moves that is under the cap if it don't move you broke a timing belt .
