I have a 2003 dodge durango, it has 119,000 miles and I noticed that when I stop at a signal light or just stop vehicle, sometimes it just cuts off. I purchased vehicle used.

Greetings:

What engine does your Durango have? Your tune up interval for spark plugs is every 30K. When was the last time that was done?

The 2003 was the last year of the Generation 1 Durango, and is considered the best of the 98-03 years.

How do i know if the starter is going out

Most of the time, if the starter is about to give out, you will notice a clicking sound.....make sure that you turn the headlights on to observe if they dim significantly, as this can also be a sign of battery losing charge........if it is slow to start, then this would be a battery fault...........

But, if you hear a click, and the headlights stay bright, then you will definetly require starter motor replacement....if you hear a grinding sound as you start then this could indicate that the gear teeth on your flywheel, or starter gear is also wearing down, replacement required for this as well.......

Fuel rail noise

You may be hearing the pressure regulator that is relieving the pressure on the rail and returning it to the tank.
