You didn't say if you were looking for inner/outer or for one side or both so I'm going to give you inner and outer for both sides, because you should get them both done if you have one done. For the inner tie rod you should look to pay $200-350 and for the outer tie rods you should look to pay $175-275. Check out this website It is a great place to find out how much you should expect to pay for many common repairs. You will see a range and that is because it takes into account the small shops and the dealers. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

How do u repair the inner tie rod

Tie rods have replacable ends. You will need a tie rod end seperator, commonly called a "pickle fork". total length of the tie rod from ball joint tip to tip should be noted so that when you put the new end on, you can get it close enough to drive the car to the alignment shop for the needed front end alignment.

How to replace tie tods on a 2001 and should both tie rods have a grese fighting or just one. and how to get the bands off to remove the boot .

ok, Tie rods don't have boots. The only thing up front with a boot is the CV joint. You have to use a cutter to remove the bands from a CV joint however, unless your trying to repair the joint you don't want to do that. There is no lubrication point inside the boot you need to reach. If for some reason you need to remove that boot you need to get a CV joint Boot Repair kit to do this as it will have replacement bands to use in the repair. Because of the nature of a CV joint and it's importance to operating correctly I don't recommend trying to do a Joint repair on your own. On the Tie Rod typically you will replace the out end. You need to have a tie Rod puller to remove the tie rod end off the "A" frame after you have released the lock nut in the center then simply unscrew the tie rod end. You'll want to make sure you mark the old tie rod somehow so you can put beside the new part and mark it so you know how far to screw that in so the Alignment matches, as close as possible. The tie rod puller is a special tool you can get from Auto Zone to remove the Tie rod end from the "A" frame.

How much does it cost to repair a tie rod on a 2003 nissan altima

Depending if power/streeing or manuel/streeing.
Inner tie rod $50.00 - $150.00 each part only.
outer tie rod $30.00 - $75.00 each part only.
labor 1.0 flag rate on outer tie rod per side.
labor 1.3 flag rate on inner tie rod per side.
Flag rate X shops hourly rate = labor cost.

Estimate for new battery tire rod repair and 4 new tires for the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

The tie rods are part of the steering system not connected to the battery. If you have an estimate from a shop it should show a battery on a different line than a tie rod or tie rod end. Tires vary greatly in price depending on size, use and brand. Many tire dealer websites hae do-it-yourself tire pricing allowing you to choose different options.

How to change left front tie rod on nissan quest

Loosen the wheel lugs, jack up the vehile, use jack stands under the frame for safety, remove the tire.Turn the steering wheel hard right. Now I am assuming you want to change the outer tie rod on the steering rod.Or maybe the inner.
Then loosen the nut and bring the nut up to be flush with the tie rod joint.
Now either with a splitting tie rod fork (you can rent one from a local parts store free) hammer it tight between the ball part of the joint and the tie rod, it should pop off from the taper lock.
If not give a few sharp raps with good sized hammer and will break it loose.
You can get a manual from your local library on the vehile to help .
