Go to the autozone website at and register your vehicle. It's free and you will have access to a full online repair manual for your vehicle. It might have the info you are looking for there. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Its located by the radiator on the lower right side. That air pump has a problem sucking water into it and shorting the motor out The dealer has a new one that relocates the inlet hose up higher by the battery.

Vacuum pump located behind the driver side headlamp is cracked and the check engine light came on. It is no longer sealed and I'm afraid that debris will get sucked into the engine

Hello: That is NOT a Vacuum pump, it is a air pump. Its purpose is to inject air into the exhaust system in front of the converter to burn the extra gas injected into the engine on cold starts. The check engine light is on because the emissions system knows there is no air flow on cold starts. Debris will NOT get into the engine.....

Heater is not working properly.

At operating temperature is you car at the middle mark in between 160F and 210F? If not your thremostat is stuck open not allowing your engine to warm up before the coolant from the radiator enters the engine. Any "CHECK ENGINE SOON". lights? Just had a similar prob. Oil pressure light on and wont start

Well I had the same problem and wow was I surprised man. I have a code machine that plugs into my car and tells me what wrong with it then I fix it. It read that I had a misfire #1 so that means my spark plug is dirty or something like that. When I took off the spark plug it was smashed in that was a good sign.. I called a mechanic friend of mine and he said that my head and piston were damaged but would not really know unless he took it apart. What he said was true and cost me a great deal of money..!!!! Now searching the web I have found that there many jeep liberty with the same problem just different spark plug locations so I wonder if Jeep knows of this issue but will not acknowledge it.. If you need more information please email me at

Check out this link regarding your issue..!!

I have never heard of a knock sensor, the engine light on is usually do to a fuel air problem such has o2 sensors gas caps not sealing right or mass air flow sensors, the a/c problem sounds like if there are no leaks in system then your high low sensors one of them could have failed or your system froze up and needs to thaw if it froze let sit you will see a puddle of water on ground passenger side under vehicle close to engine this is from the evaporator if it froze up it will not allow air flow to go through it therefore you will get only heat turn heater on this will help thaw the evaporator quicker this freezing is usually due to an overcharged system or a system that is contaminated and needs flushed vacuemed and recharged.
